Does anyone know the appeal process or the time line? Can’t believe that they will make decisions on this and sheff we’d after the end of the season
It’s like Donny pointed out: if we end the season with enough points & GD to stay up, the EFL can safely apply the deduction without fear of repercussion from the Latics of the teams that go down. So they will wait and try to get themselves off the hook with as little grief as possible.

But the timescale now is nothing to do with the EFL.
The appeal is to an independent panel and they dictate how it is handled.So the independent panel are as inept as the EFL.
Will the same idiots make the decision on our fate too?We will not get any reprieve we either finish above 3 clubs with the deduction or we go down. TBH I dont give a shit either way after what has happened to us. The club was run better than most having paid all bills up to date. Dodgy dealings with ownership and investigations going on all over the shop. The EFL themselves smelled a rat early on but have still threatened us with points deduction before the reason for our needless administration has been unravelled. Nobody will help us until the damage has been done and we are relegated. I just hope we prove that administration was unjust and without real reason and we can then take the feckin EFL to the cleaners for compensation. COYL

Fuck the EFL
They are both right in that the decision needs to be made before Wednesday but it won’t be.
I don’t for a second think we will get the points back or that Sheff Weds and Wayne Rooney’s Derby County will be docked enough points to relegate them, so the only way we stay up is on the field and for the first time since all this I’m not confident about doing that.
Still not quite sure why the Barnsley bloke thinks we should be relegated two divisions. Hardly our fault they’re about 15 points behind us.
Spot on egg Barnsley want everybody getting points deducted coz it’s the only chance they have of staying up the Yorkshire pricks. But as you say egg it should have been done and dusted by now. Just another example of the EFL being unfit for purpose
If we do so down then so be it but at least we’ll start the season on a clean slate with no 12 point deduction for finishing in the bottom 3.
The worse thing about this is things like:Geldhart’s recently signed contract been fcuked leaving him with only a year left

Robinsons relegation clause allowing him to leave for less than we paid for him £1.5 million.
These are a couple of major assets new owners would have been looking at selling to recoup or invest to get us straight back up.The likes of Fox and Pilkington need to go. Although they are decent players on their day they are injury prone and a huge drain on resources been high earners.
But right now we need new a new owner/s.
Just seen a statement from the EFL that the 12 point deduction WILL stand & come into effect at the end of the season.
The EFL website doesn’t have us as a side that could be relegated.
