Let’s see us back to winning ways for out new owners. Show em they made the right decision
5 April 2021 at 5:28 pm #192131Another game we shouldnt have lost. Running out of time I fear.
5 April 2021 at 6:41 pm #192132Unfortunately if we cant score a goal that’s the way it goes.its not over yet but it’s not looking good.
5 April 2021 at 7:33 pm #192133If the worst happened and we had to start again as a phoenix club it would probably have taken us ten years to get back to the EFL.So we have to be grateful we have new owners and we are still in the football league. All we ask as supporters is that the players put everything into the remaining games and see what happens.I would hate to see us go down without a fight.
5 April 2021 at 9:15 pm #192134I can envisage the final page of the script now: only a win against Swindon on the last day of the season will save our League 1 status. Well, we are the Latics, who don’t do easy !
Hope I’m wrong, but I wouldn’t back against it.
5 April 2021 at 9:46 pm #192135I’d take that scenario right now.
6 April 2021 at 7:43 am #192138With theway results are going, I would love to have it in our hands on last day if season.
Fact is, we can’t score, despite creating enough chances to put games to bed before losing 1 or 5 nil.
Like Phoenix said though, we didn’t end up like BuryAway a lot, but always watching
6 April 2021 at 10:12 am #192139Donny on Saturday would be a good time to start the revival. In terms of results over the last 5 games, its 24th v 23rd with just 3 points out of a possible 30 accrued. They have gone from promotion/playoff certainties to mid-table obscurity over the last month and have nothing left to play for.

Wish I’d stuck a few quid on my thoughts!
Crewe are also “on the beach”. That should be another 3pts towards safety.
10 April 2021 at 7:04 pm #192179Sunderland could be looking at todays result
11 April 2021 at 1:02 pm #192199One of those days Egg where if it could go wrong, it did, and the lack of specialist defenders available finally caught up with us – Max Power playing in a back 3 yesterday with a 21 year old loanee and Luke O’Nien who is an attacking midfielder. Charlton had a big, strong side and something to play for and there is a history of them beating Sunderland when it really matters. That said, their keeper Ben Amos was outstanding whilst Lee Burge reverted to type.
If you’ve got several 6’2 bulit like a brick shithouses and someone who can deliver a good setpiece, then we are a good side to play against at the moment!
