To all of you on the dark side (you know who you are) you must be sticking pins in your martinez dolls like there his no tommorrow :!: .I think bob as done some good buisness today, its clear that bob really does know what he his doing and cant be judged on 6months of management and the comments of martinez is clueless and bob out just go to show you what sort of supporters you lot from the darkside really are.Bob stated he needed 3 transfer windows to get something like the team he wants. On the opening day of the season we played villa and won with a great result and deserved to win as well, but weve been up and down since then,we have got the monkey off our backs with the result against chelski which was no flook and something which we didnt manage under jewell or spud yead.
Bob needs time to build the side he wants, this season for me is all about staying up while he does that and then by the start of next season he will have something like the team he wants and then judge him on that
i wait to get slaughterd by the darkside :twisted:2 February 2010 at 12:46 am #20887Going in we needed some strength in defence and some goalscorers. We came out with both.
Hopefully Moreno and Moses will be able to hack it at this level and our football will get us the results we deserve.
2 February 2010 at 1:30 am #20895Very good transfer window for us, especially with all the talk in the last few weeks of Hugo, Charlie and Maynor leaving. Caldwell looks to be a no-nonsense centre half which we need, Moreno might turn ouut to be quiet decent and the Victor Moses signing is a superb coup for us. Credit to Bobby and his staff.
Hopefully, once the new guys have settled in we can push on and start climbing the table.

2 February 2010 at 2:43 am #20916Europe here we come!
Or is that a little too positive?
2 February 2010 at 11:32 am #20940Bit wishful thinking, Snow ;)
A good window, especially compared to other club’s business. Let’s not expect miracles from these new lads and Bob’s tactics will still have to stand up to scrutiny over the last 15 games or so.
Overall, though, positive times

Is it me or have we done really really well to get Moses here, with the speculation of bigger teams than wigan wanting hin (man city, barca etc), or were they JUST rumours?
2 February 2010 at 12:10 pm #20946In all honesty I would have preferred to see a central midfielder, a right back & a right winger but I guess that’s just me being the moaning, picky kant I seem to have become in the last few months.
having said that its good to see that the club stuck to their word & did not flog anybody (I wish they’d done that last January) & like someone else has said we did need strengthening both up front & at the back
Can’t say I know anything about either Moses or the Bolivian fella. Having said that 7 in 17 isn’t too shabby a record for Werder Bremen. The negative part of me however can’t help but think that all the talk of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal etc.. was a load of guff on the part of his agent & Palace to trigger some bids for him. If they had been genuinely interested then more than Latics, Forest, Newcastle & whoever else it was would have gone in for him.
Anyway enough negativity – I’m trying to change from the darkside & am honestly more positive about the rest of the season today than I was yesterday!!
2 February 2010 at 12:20 pm #20947Was reading up on Moses, didn’t know his parents were murdered  … Also Moreno was the first foreigner to be part of the Brazilian youth team and u20 team, theres a fact for ya ;)
2 February 2010 at 12:22 pm #20949I thought he was Bolivian??
2 February 2010 at 12:27 pm #20951I thought he was Bolivian??Exactly, the first ‘foreigner’ to be part of it, he chose to play for the Bolivian senior team though.

It’s one thing being orphaned, but quite another seeing your parents killed in front of you. Dont know if it’s true, but he’s had a pretty tough start in life.
