To use a Martinez favourite.
BUT…… Tonight i agree. There was a lot of positives in that performance. There was the usual rubbish like marking at the back 4, Kirkland doing his window cleaning impressions again (although made some cracking saves also) The inability to pass the ball forward. No-one attacking the six yard box. However, Moses looked bright, Just his final ball needs working on. Scharner was enthusiastic and not moaning about only coming on as a sub. Moreno had his best game for us. Rodallega was having shots whenever he could and Caldwell responded with a very respectable commanding performance. Used the wings a lot more which i like, makes attacks quicker and more direct. If we play with that level of performance and determination against Burnley we could possibly score more than 2 against them :o Although we are still very sloppy in certain areas, The absence of Melchiot has improved us quite a bit. Im looking forward to the Burnley game now.
one positive would be to get rid of this manager, tonight villa could of, and should of scored six, diame and thomas play so deep they might as well sit on brambles knee, and for us defending corners and having no one on the half way line, total negative, please mr whelan get rid, cant see us beating burnley, nor hull at home.
