Right, I come on here to find out a bit of news and see whats going on around the club.
I actually don’t come on to argue and fall out with people. I can’t be bothered.
But when I come on and a certain poster has seen fit to respond to 2 of my posts in what can only be described as, for want of a better way of putting it, a ‘shitty’ dig, I wonder if its worth bothering.I don’t mind debate or a bit of banter, even a difference of opinion, thats life. But when I’ve made a decent, sensible post, (2 of them) and get the same person just being an arsehole to have a dig at me, its quite pathetic really.
I dont bother on social media, Facebook and Twitter, anymore because its full of absolute nonsense and bulls***.I just wonder if its worth bothering on here. All I’ve tried to do is contribute memories from previous FA Cup games at Non League Grounds, in response to peoples questions about them, and also added to the superb post by LMB, I think it was, about our fans getting praise for their behaviour at Lockys club in Wombwell. Both my posts were sensible and made in good faith.
So I have no desire to come on here and just be sniped at like that for nothing. I’m knocking on 41 yeare of age, and frankly, I can’t be arsed. If other people want to induldge these cretins who sit behind a screen and snipe and try and cause trouble all the time by posting crappy replies that offer absolutely nothing to the board, then thats up to them. But I can see why a fair few don’t bother anymore on here.
Jason ASKED me to come back onboard last year, as he felt I could possibly add something, knowledge, or whatever, from my time as a fan. Fair enough, I won’t always have people aggreing with me, and vise versa. But no need for falling out. And certainly NO NEED WHATSOEVER for certain posters and ‘Lurkers’ to just aim vitreolic posts at me without any response to the discussions.
98% of you are fine, and I enjoy the chat. But its time the other 2% who dont contribute but post just to stir things are moderated a bit more and told.

Well said VAT. You have got to rise above the w.anchors and carry on, or they win.
There is plenty of good debate on here at times, and plenty of drivel.
There are wind up merchants and people who just disagree with everything just for the sake of it.
All in all, most of it is banter and adds to the board, but when it is posts slagging you off by some key board warrior with an IQ the same as their shoe size it can piss you off.
Try to ignore it and let the moderators sort it out.Dont take things too personal Dave, it’s not worth it. In most cases the people behind the keyboard are not the same in “real life” when you meet up with them.
I like a wind up now and again and a good old argument occasionally, it’s something to do when the missus is watching her soaps.
You need to take a chill pill and let things go over your head, the best way to deal with snidy remarks is to ignore them. Silence is often the master stroke in winning an argument or responding to someone who is looking for a reaction.
I don’t mean to be nasty here, but the tell tale signs of you getting wound up is you start to throw words in capitals, as if to emphasise your point. Its then not too long before you start saying your leaving the board for good. It’s happened so many times before.
At the end of the day we are all tics fans, we all love our club, use this board to get some pleasure out of it, don’t let posters get at you. I’ve met 4 or 5 of the old and new wind up merchants, devils advacorts, argue for argument sakers etc and they are all decent blokes. From time to time I do lose it a bit, but it’s usually only to personal insults and it’s a controlled response.
Good luck with future posts, you do make a good contribution and have a good knowledge about our club, just sail along and use this board wisley, don’t let it use you.

John, I only took it personal because the person who replied to me posted as a dig at me without any contribution to the thread at all. I know who the person is, because they have been gobbing all over Twitter over the past week,like a tell tale tit (referencing this board) and have made it over obvious. They took my sarcastic post about not getting Fylde tickets and moaning about it seriously, when the reality is I actually got 4 tickets. To read it, you’d think it was Primary school kids! And these are self-proclaimed “media types”. No wonder the storylines in Coronation Street have gone abysmal…
We have disagreements on here from time to time. Thats life. One persons opinion, can be different to another. I dont take the board too seriously. I dont actually bother looking at it that much. The the sniping at me as mentioned and then the person commenting yesterday pissed me off. I only snipe when I am sniped at. An eye for an eye, and all that. I wouldnt just come on here and start sniping at people. I think most are a decent bunch.
I dont post that often but do read quite a lot. When I decide to try to start contributions I set out to make sure I didn’t get involved I the petty stuff that goes on. I understand how vat must feel here as I find it amazing at how quickly people fire off and how unnecessary a lot of it is. You wouldn’t think that essentially we are all on the same side with some of the insults that get thrown round, things that wouldn’t get said in person. Personally you wont get that from me on here.

I laugh at you because your a 41 year old bloke who contacts the local police chief before a game, posts the same thing as someone else 20 mins later, says they beat people with bats and talks utter crap.
Oh and you slag wiganers off for not backing the town when yiu come from skem.
