As always comments are very much welcome.
10 May 2011 at 12:35 am #65057Struggling to see what Gary Megson has got to do with anything you wrote.
10 May 2011 at 12:52 am #65058Sorry if that seems a little irrelevant  I’m just not too keen on Megson so I thought I’d throw in a cheap comparison with Hitler, that’s all…
10 May 2011 at 1:14 am #65062Nice, I’m sure Mrs Megson will be delighted
10 May 2011 at 12:28 pm #65068With regards to the stick Al Habsi got from Hansen & Lawrenson
I’d agree that they were a bit wide of the mark saying he’s a bit of a hit & miss keeper (he makes no more high profile clangers than anyone else) but he was at fault for Young’s goal on Saturday
Its basic goalkeeping that if you get a wall to cover one side of the goal, you stand & cover the other side. If a player gets it up & over the wall & into the net there’s nowt you can do about it. What you don’t do is cover one side of the goal with the wall & then jump behind that wall as the kick’s taken & leave the other side of the goal exposed.
That was bad keeping but he is without doubt our player of the season & his good keeping far outweighs his bad10 May 2011 at 3:56 pm #65077I’m sure when I first saw that free-kick it took a (very) slight deflection?? I might be wrong; I had been drinking.

Especially considering how he denied Bent when he was clean through, he made up for his error there.
