If there was a game next week, what would the starting 11 be?
25 June 2015 at 10:47 am #142924Well we have brought a couple in in so will they get a chance to play or will we have them in and out of the side then sell them or loan them out before the end of August?

25 June 2015 at 10:19 pm #142937442 or 352, but definitly not 451.
25 June 2015 at 11:46 pm #142938It’s the future ;)
26 June 2015 at 1:06 am #142939Which is the future? The success seen by Leicester Burnley Watford Bournmouth and Norwich in the last two seasons playing positive attacking football with strikers or the drab one up top rubbish we have seen in the last two seasons taking us in the opposite direction of the afor mentioned.
26 June 2015 at 2:07 am #142941Blinkin’ hec that looks like a strong promotion chasing FA Cup winning squad. All of a sudden i’m super optimistic!!
Lets have Riera, Delort and Waghorn up front, then we have spare strikers for when Wags gets sent off. 4 – 3 – 3. I’m writing to Gary.
26 June 2015 at 2:15 am #142942On paper it does look quite strong, and should be a lot stronger before the season starts.
I didn’t put Riera or Delort in the first eleven because I don’t expect them to be here, likewise with Pennant.26 June 2015 at 9:58 am #142943Max Power has signed according to Worbo on Vital :woohoo:
Tranmere Rovers attacking midfield star is set to be unveiled as a Latics player after the two clubs agreed a deal for the youngster.
The 21 year old is out of contract with the newly relegated Wirral club, but has still cost the Latics a fee due to his age. Power had a great season last time out on a personal level, making 53 appearances, 45 of which were in the league, scoring 12 goals. He has a total of 130 appearances for Tranmere over three seasons and attracted interest from Celtic in the January transfer window.
Power is a player at the right age, the right price and with bags of potential and will hopefully prove to be an excellent signing.

In fact, I think it was Martinez who invented it.

I suspect Riera, Delort, Pennant, Perch, Huws, McCann and Holt won’t be Wigan players by the start of the season.26 June 2015 at 10:05 pm #142957If there was a game next week, what would the starting 11 be?

I suspect Riera, Delort, Pennant, Perch, Huws, McCann and Holt won’t be Wigan players by the start of the season.[/quote]Any player leaving is a possibility, but it was based on the question asked, which said if there was a game next week and it is just a bit of fun as a lot will defo change before the season starts.
I haven’t heard any rumours that all those you mentioned may be on their way, but I do think Riera and Delort will go. James Perch leaving is also possible, but he is hardly irreplaceable.
I think Huws might stay for now to regain his fitness and sharness, and I hope Grant Holt stays and is given the chance to prove himself by Caldwell unlike his predecessors.
