1-0 win both sides are struggling hopefully Wykes back in and I only say that because, something’s better than nothing.
I just don’t get us, we’re struggling like f*ck with injuries,missing players and form and we can’t hit a barn door from 10 feet so what do we do? we let a young hungry forward go out on loan who then inturn scores a few and sets up a few.
What would have been a better way to gain experience and get those minutes than utilise him over the busy Christmas period say half a game here and there with us especially under the clubs current circumstances playing sh*t and player injuries. I can’t imagine any other club who’d do that. We played against Derby for me without a forward FFS, it doesn’t make sense.Again, I just don’t get it similar to Richardson with Hughes. He’d probably be on loan right now had Toure not given him his chance
I’d like to see us throw men up front from the start; get in front by a couple of goals then use substitutes to shut the back door. We normally resort to a more direct attacking approach only when we are chasing the game.
I just hope that SM has not built this game up to the point that it’s a “must not lose game” and we try to defend our way to a sneaky win.Guess we’ll know by 21:00 hour tonight.
I hope we play with at least one forward who remains the focal point and someone we aim to get the ball too or aim for to hold it up.
Lang Humphrys Cze does not work and I don’t think any are out and out forwards were as Wyke Magennis Stones are
Still in the Christmas spirit so here goes …4-1 win…….let’s face it they are bottom and without the -8 they’d be 14pts behind us. Really got a hard 2nd half of season if we can’t roll these !!!!

Could of easily been 4-0 at half time.
Then second half we don’t keep the same momentum and good goalkeeping and their poor finishing kept us in front, bar about the last 10-15 mins when we stopped panicking.
Magennis did well and played a pivotal role IMO.I previously pointed out, we needed that focal point forward and Magennis played that role very well. Lots of balls from wide and Humphrys had a good game.
I think losing Humphrys was one of the reasons for the slump in our 2nd half performance but that’s typical of us, we never have 2 good half’s.
We should have had it wrapped up in the first half but when all said and done were 9 points clear of them rather that 3 points.I see we’ve recalled Luke Robinson who’s been playing well up in Scotland that can only be a good thing bolster that left side up
Good 1st half ,should have been game over half time. Magennis did well,led the line and was always busy making runs. As expected 2nd half they were always going to have to throw caution to the wind but I thought we sat way too deep. The sitter Garner missed and a couple of chances they had could have made for a jittery last 15. Job done,definitely still need to stop having these pauses but 3pts vital . Garner should have walked ..Well done to the Carlisle supporters great effort. Personally I would love 7pm kick offs instead of 7:45…..working nights means I don’t have to leggit on 80 mins. Now for these sheep bothering ,Efl punishment swerving snot bags……
