I have nicked this off Vital Latics, but I’m sure they won’t mind.
It certainley looks to be a strong squad now, and a lot of the players are versatile so can play in a variety of positions.Final squad (Implying Mulgrew Signs)

9 August 2019 at 11:22 am #180226Looks a very strong squad indeed!
9 August 2019 at 1:14 pm #180228Cook’s going to have a job to keep them all happy.
Not a bad problem to have, I suppose, and you can rule out Morsy at regular intervals for suspensions)9 August 2019 at 1:27 pm #180229Mulgrew can also play CM and I would expect Lowe to play as a stiker especially seeing as he as the number 9 shirt.
Don’t agree on the av. age though as we only sign players who are 35+ and are drinking buddies of Cook.
9 August 2019 at 2:09 pm #180231Now confirmed that Mulgrew signed, but reading Rovers message boards even before he has moved is not confidence filling.
9 August 2019 at 2:19 pm #180234Now confirmed that Mulgrew signed, but reading Rovers message boards even before he has moved is not confidence filling.Always the case. All of a sudden he’s no good once he leaves.
Can’t see him being first choice but will add that bit of experience again that we need.
9 August 2019 at 2:20 pm #180235Our squad looks really good. We have so many options of how we can set up.
Nobody saw us bringing in Blackburn’s captain…a shock move. But shows how strong we are when you can say he is likely not going straight into the side.
We shouldnt get caught out with injuries and suspensions this season, thats for sure.
Well done Paul Cook and his staff. Well done to Darren Royle and Jonathan Jackson for backing him.
9 August 2019 at 2:55 pm #180236Anyone fancy naming the starting 11 for Saturday I ain’t got a clue.
9 August 2019 at 3:18 pm #180237Anyone fancy naming the starting 11 for Saturday I ain’t got a clue.Well in fairness grumps, it should be the same starting 11 that beat Cardiff. Dont change a winning team & all that. If cook does play the same team, it’s up to that 11 to fight in order to keep their places. What a fantastic headache cook now has this season.
Well done the Royles & IEC.
9 August 2019 at 3:48 pm #180238Surely Robinson, Lowe and Moore are shoe ins with their pricetags.
9 August 2019 at 3:54 pm #180240As we speak, pilkington is out for a month. Up to Massey or Lowe to stake their place within the team.
