Oh yeah……and Windass nets on debut
Playing in the number 10 position behind the striker. Now why as our player is he not playing there for us or why did Clown not play him there at all this season?
Played there plenty of times but he and his dad think hes a number 9
8 February 2020 at 9:28 pm #184781Another game where he didn’t have a shot.
Cos he wasnt given any service.
I couldn’t believe it when he took Moore off. Lowe should have been subbed. Moore up front with Garner with Gelhardt behind.
Don’t be silly runcorn, we can’t possibly play with two strikers on the pitch, and you know Gelhardt isn’t ready yet???
COOK OUT!!!
Why if you start in a mega negative 5-3-2 is it not with two strikers.
As for Lowe he doesn’t even look like a footballer. Pat Gavin or Neil Morton quality and that’s doing him a favour. Good effort by Cook in financing Pompeys promotion bid.8 February 2020 at 9:31 pm #184782Lowe was supposed to be playing with Moore but he is absolute dogshit. How he stayed on for the 90 I don’t know.
8 February 2020 at 9:49 pm #184784Derek. Nathan Burn played two tremendous crosses in second half and he also played a great ball across goal first half which nobody could connect with. Do you seriously see Moore as a championship standard striker. His touch is poor, he’s as slow as a gods horse and so far across the season his finishing is shite too. Lowes bloody awful and offers practically nothing so all in all is it any surprise Dunkley is our top scorer by a distance despite not playing much in recent games.
8 February 2020 at 9:52 pm #184786Agreed Roy. Garner is our only actual goal scorer IMO
8 February 2020 at 10:05 pm #184788To be fair, through gritted teeth, Preston are one of the best teams we’ve played this season. But playing 5 across the back today put us on the back foot straight away, midfield got overwhelmed and our strikers were isolated.
It feels like we’re back to square one with square pegs in round holes, baffling team selection and tactics and the feel good factor gone.8 February 2020 at 10:07 pm #184789And for the last 15 games I would just play Gelhardt as whatever happens to develop his potential he needs to play games which he obviously has in abundance. Every time he gets ball he’s looking to have a go and creates urgency in our play. Has Robinson jacked it off now he hasn’t got his dream move? Model professional eh?
8 February 2020 at 10:10 pm #184790Frustrating day. Their first goal was a good move and finish but they then had a good period of dominance. Horrible number 4. Ref had a poor patch in the second half but we simply are not good enough, and played some pretty ugly football today. Naismith had a stinker as well as Lowe for me today. I think we play worse when Moore is on.

8 February 2020 at 11:45 pm #184798Agreed Roy. Garner is our only actual goal scorer IMONot while Chey is around. :D
9 February 2020 at 5:14 am #184803Did anyone actually really know Lowe was playing coz he was more invisible than the board. Sorry lads but after today Gelhardt has to start and finish every game possible. And if Cooko the clown is insistent on using wing backs then learn the feckers how to cross the ball. As hurtful as it it to say this Preston were in a different league to us up front where games are actually won. Only one place our useless board and pathetic manager are taking us is down and there will not be any chance this time of an immediate return.
9 February 2020 at 11:58 am #184804Quote from the Preston manager Neil after the game:
“I was pleased to see Kieffer Moore going off at the end.
“The balls were coming into the box, and I breathed a sigh of relief.”
So let’s look at the bigger picture. He plays 8 defensive players keeper 5 at the back Morsey Evans.
Then William’s out of position on the left Lowe who should be on the bench and Moore up top.
The only thing thing that shock me with that set up was, we weren’t 4-5 goals down before changes were made.Evans again ?, you all call Lowe and rightly so but Evans floats round offering a whole lot of nothingness, he is poor to say the least. Wayward passes and playing nearly a centre halfs role it’s like playing with 9 men with him and Lowe.
Morsey?, played a similar roll playing belt and braces football TILL changes were made and he began to move forward.
I know Jacobs aint the best footballer in the world but his urgency along with Geldharts introduction changed the game.
Me ? I would stick Naismith in the role behind the forward and fcukin utilise his attacking skills now that we have 3 centre halfs here. He can tackle, cross, and accurate passing would make him a perfect candidate for that role and fcuk Lowe off.
So all in all for me it’s the managers fault once again….. period. Starting with a “backs to the wall” like leeds (cause it worked there hey !!) was our downfall and played staight into Preston’s hands.
Then as I pointed out earlier with the Neil quote, the bringing off of Moore when your a goal down was a sigh of relief for the Preston manager. The only person in the ground who thought Lowe played and well enough to see the game out was sadly Cook once again.
So what did we do when he went off ?, we carried on crossing the ball into the box which beggars belief.
Cook wont reaign he’ll lose too much money,
The board won’t pay him off because we might go down anyway and we know Cooks level is League One at it’s best,So I’m sorry after yesterday’s line up and subs are again highlighting Cooks level of management is not above League One. I’m afraid to say there are clubs bigger and better equipt than us in Middlesbrough Huddersfield and Stoke so this for me is a 2 possibly 3 way shoot out.
If Cook sets his stall out like yesterday from here on in were going down. That’s not not been negative that’s my honest opinion based on Cooks level of performances. We have an outstanding young player in Geldhart. His first contributions when entering the game were a winning tackle and an cheeky lob for the goal.
Ok sometimes he tries too hard but with experience that can be ironed out. Cook wont play him so what does that tell you about the guy.We lost our chance in late Nov/Dec to gef shut of him, bring someone in who could assess over the Christmas period and the make the nessesary changes in the January transfer window but we chose not to and that is why I think we will go down. Not because the players are not on it no it’s because Cook is out his depth.
If those in the powers above cannot see this and keep pulling the blankets over thier heads in hope it will all go away then we have a far bigger problem than any shitty relegation far bigger.Right now we need man management skills,
Cook out Warnock in till the summer and let him save our bacon
9 February 2020 at 12:56 pm #184805Couldn’t have put it better……in a nutshell……Cooks screwed this club over.
9 February 2020 at 12:57 pm #184806Very valid points cupwinners and I agree regards Evans. Whilst Alex Neil might have been glad to see Moore go off, he was still blowing out his backside.
Gelhardt definitely changed the game when he came on and was unlucky with his effort late on. Cook said in his post match that he has a big role to play between now and the end so hopefully we see more of him.
It’s between us and Charlton I think.
Oh – and not a chance Neil Warnock will come here.
9 February 2020 at 2:22 pm #184821Why don’t we try and bring Potch in or the lad Barca sacked last week. Him and Messi seemed to get on so maybe he will come next season as he’s out of contract.
