How many people are going to be able to make it home from the DW in time to make the BIG kick off at 1430, seeing as the “other game” that day wont finish until 1425?
Its a hollow gesture that will not get the crowds flocking to the DW. Face it – your club are playing second fiddle on 27 August.
I’d be interested to see if all the ST holders who will be at Wembley will be included in the attendance. Stand by for a 15,000 crowd where only 11,000 are present!
You admit Warriors have moved their game because your former team had a match and were told to. Now that is what is known as playing 2nd fiddle.
Meanwhile your former team chooses move a game 2 and half hours forward due to circumstances which are bound to affect it’s attendance. That is actually choosing the best option for itself. Your former team actually controlled both situations.
You are very easily backed into a corner Mutty. And when you do you simply skulk away and disappear. Mainly because you don’t have the ammunition to get yourself out of it. As on other threads. And for someone who purports to be an active member of Her Majesty’s Forces it’s a basic mistake. I would have thought that 3 qualities to to that would be 1) tactical nouse, 2) basic intelligence and command of the facts and 3) maturity (look at all the laughing faces in your 1st post on this thread. You seem to have a serious lack of all 3.
Latics tried to move the game to Friday so DW could go to Wembley. QPR originally agreed then changed their minds. Kicking off early will allow him to watch on TV at least.
Lets face it 90% of Latics fans couldnt give a stuff.
Do you practice at being thick or does it come naturally to you, McLoon? The match has been moved so that people who want to watch YOUR team can see the it as well as going to see Latics.
And why do they have to go home? Why can’t they go to the pub which is 5 minutes away. After all that’s where your lot watch most of your sport.
Face it, you’re deliberately missing the point because you can’t stand to acknowledge the fact that the football club has made a gesture, and a decent one at that, to your club, even if it may lead to a loss in revenue for them.
Couldn’t ever see your board of failed singers, bent bookies and bric-a-brac salesmen ever doing that, can you?
Jog on, Chubby – beaten again.

Good win today McGoose but unless the Premier League want to move the QPR game I think you can whistle for whatever it is you’re after.
Oi brain cell donor, can you not understand. It wasn’t moved by an eternal force like tomorrow’s rugby match. It was moved by us and approved by the PL. We had a choice and made it. You didn’t and have to lump it.
Let me spell it out for you, Latics have moved the game to EARLIER in the day, NOT to the day before or day after. :angry-banghead:
What difference will moving the game make to our attendance? None, those who want to go to Wembley will have left earlier in the day.
No one not even Dave Whelan can make Wigan to Wembley in 5mins. :angry-banghead:
