Anyone know any good pubs to drink in relatively close to Loftus Road, preferably serving some real ales? Either walking distance to loftus road or close to a tube station within easy reach of loftus road. Aiming to get there bout 12pm ish, maybe watch the early kick off on sky depending whats on.

Get the tube to sheperd’s bush market on the hammersmith and city line, you leave the station straight on to the uxbridge road, turn right and head in that direction – walk past the road where you go to the away end of the ground (bloemfontein road) and on the right there are a couple of pubs the queen adelaide and british queens because these pubs are closest to the away end they tend to get away supporters and there aren’t that many around there.
The best 2 pubs in that area are just off the main road and used to be my regular haunt when i was working down there, just further up past where you go up to the ground, on the opposite side is a road called boscombe street or road(not sure which)walk down here to the tee junction practically facing you is the crown(crown & septre) even further along the uxbridge road on the same side is becklow road and there is a pub called the greyhound – this was my local as i used stay in a flat facing it. These are the best pubs in the whole of sheperds bush even though the greyhound was my closest – the crown was the best pub – i dont know if its the same the last time I was in them was in our 2nd division year when we last played QPR (7 years ago) but they are all still listed in the london pub guide as good real ale pubs.
