If given the choice would you:
A – Take 3 points at Fulham and defeat at Bournemouth, or
B – Lose at Fulham and win at Bournemouth?I know we dont get a choice and we all (I hope) want us to win both, but I was just trying to gage the feeling towards a cup run over Prem points.

3 points at Fulham every time.
10 January 2013 at 6:50 pm #99713Fulham win
10 January 2013 at 7:00 pm #99714Win at Fulham without doubt. Easily.
Winning at Bournemouth would also be great too though, can see them both being won with ease to be honest :)
10 January 2013 at 7:09 pm #99715Without hesitation, a win at Fulham. I’d wager this would be the manager’s answer also.
10 January 2013 at 7:32 pm #997163 PL points of course however….
I don’t think the two should be mutually exclusive and that’s not on the basis Roberto should play the “first team” in both matches but the team that were and probably will be put out against Bournemouth should be more than capable of progressing.
10 January 2013 at 7:43 pm #99717AnonymousA result at Fulham (even a draw) and I agree with Salford.
BTW How long is Kone gone for i.e. earliest (bearing in mind Zaki’s and Camara’s failure to get back on time after been knocked out) and latest return dates?
10 January 2013 at 8:32 pm #99719If I “HAD” to choose on pain of death then i would pick option A.
Like others have said though, I see no reason whatsoever why it should have to be either or.
I would like to see Bobby put out his strongest available team in both games – it isn’t gonna happen though & both he & his chairman are obviously more than happy with that approach so fair play to them.
Not going on a full blooded darkside rant here or nothing but I don’t like it however & whilst this outlook on the cups continues & its used purely as a squad development exercise then I won’t be handing over any of my hard earned to watch the club in these competitions10 January 2013 at 11:45 pm #99720Id say B because a trip to macclesfield back on the terraces is just to big to miss plus well take 2000 fulham game isnt that important it will neither relegate nor keep us up
11 January 2013 at 12:02 am #99721100% 3 nurps at the cottage, I’ve been 4 times since we got in prem and not seen them win once. :(
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!11 January 2013 at 1:36 am #99722100% 3 nurps at the cottage, I’ve been 4 times since we got in prem and not seen them win once. :(given where we are at present, 100% 3 points at Fulham.
was there back in April, 1st time (1-2 reverse … and started so well); back there again this Saturday – I’ll shoot for 2-1 to Latics, goalscorers – no idea; if el marksman Bosselli, I’ll eat mi hat :silly:

11 January 2013 at 2:35 pm #99735Just to extend the “look how far we’ve come” – once we would have been saying would we prefer 3 points at Bournemouth, or a win at Fulham in the Cup :)
3 points for me please.
11 January 2013 at 4:05 pm #997393 points every time, even if we were already safe. It pains me to say it, but the FA Cup is becoming a non-event.
And GL, a very good reminder of exactly how far we’ve come.
