By all accounts we are selling well in the season ticket dept, probably based on the end to our season and Bobbys much publised loyalty, yet Mr Whelan, who i believe told Ali, “im buying you” is now stalling, im not naive enough to think i know about football business,i dont, im a fan who has re-newed his s/t again, convinced others to get a s/t whos a bit worried now that its going to be the same as always, lets build, capable of finishing top 10, thats what ive heard from the management, to build we need to buy, sometimes you pay too much, other times you dither and lose out, Ali is worth keeping end of, buy him like you said you would.

If you phone tesco and ask how much a bag of spuds is,and they tell you a pound you go down there grab the spuds go to the till with your pound the cashier scans it and says that will be £5 do you pay it? DW agreed 3mill before ali came on loan gartside and coyle have since tried to put add ons in taking it to 4mil

I thought that last season we enquired about him and were offered two options – buy him for £3m or pay £1m to loan him for the season. We obviously chose the second.

It doesnt seem like there was any “agreed fee” in the loan contract as there are sometimes are. Otherwise we’d have some sort of case to take to the Premier League, FA, or whoever.

I’m not a Whelan basher but if any future fee was agreed then it seems it was only a verbal agreement and Whelan cant really have a go at anyone for breaking one of those.

To be honest, no-one knows what was in the agreement. If Whelan thinks he is being taken for a ride they are picking on the wrong fella.

Surely we got the £3mill quote in writing in the loan contract?

              What?

              No?

Our own fault then ain’t it.
