Traditional fancy dress around town.Some will be out in town, others will be spending time with friends and family, but most will just be in a state of shock and will be unable to comprehend what has gone on today let alone comment about it.
A good win and from all accounts a pretty solid display, lets just hope we can back it up with a win against Sheff Wed next week and start the New Year out of the bottom three.Negatives – we were far from brilliant and a better side would have hurt us.
Positives – we fought and died for every ball and never gave in from start to finish. Redfearn is right in that had they equalised they’d probably have won, but our defence took some beating today. There were 2 and 3 yellow shirts diving at every ball that came into the box.
A much needed win, but finally a performance i could be proud of.
Thats what you after do every game in this league.graft and 100% effort and we would,nt be where we are now.success dont come on a plate.very good win today. ;)
I wasn’t in fancy dress down king street cos i was broke down on a chuffing car park just off elland road, waiting for the AA. Only got back at quarter to eleven
Not sure about Redfearns comments. Can’t think of one clear chance they created. Few decent digs from Long range and lots of crosses flashing across but they never looked that dangerous to me. Fortune, Maclean and Espinoza should all have finished the game off at 1-0 with 1 on 1s with the keeper. Ramis solid today alongside good performances from Watson, McCann and Maclean. Bring on Wesnesday!
Well done. It must have been very pleasing for those who travelled across the pennines to see a victory, no matter how it was earned, particularly with the snow that was forecast in the evening.
