9 March 2014 at 10:33 pm #128333Martinez,r u watching martinez!!!!Don’t know if he is, but I’m following on BBC Sport from afar (Singapore). Gone 2 in the morning, feeling now, physically sick (grief, stress etc.).
Speechless, absolutely speechless, I did warn the folks back home today, that there would be a storm in Manchester today, .. and so I was proved right … I did say, in earlier post, not so long ago, …going ALL the way, WEMBERELEY … nice to be proved right once in a while … B)
Jordi (et al) came up trumps once again today.
Now where are those darned pills !!!!!!

chill out, be positive man (not a time for nonsense) , we’ve just gone and beaten the mega-rich capital cup holders … only this time in their back yard.
And for all those who talk about City off-days ….bollocks !!! You got lucky at the Etihad last season (outplayed, Tevez wonder goal – was there !), run out of luck at Wembley – outfought, outplayed, END OF
have the ball as much as you like, football – a simple game – all about sticking the ball in the back of the net ! SIMPLE. GOOD NIGHT !!
10 March 2014 at 12:47 am #128373I love you all!
Enjoy yourselves tonight!

10 March 2014 at 9:44 pm #128453Martinez,r u watching martinez!!!!In the immediate aftermath of one of our greatest ever victories, your first thought is to have a pop at an ex-manager who has already won the FA Cup?
What a very strange attitude to take. Not like you, to be fair. Had you had a drink? ;)

Had you had a drink? ;)Maybe Runcorn was the chap who couldn’t walk in a straight line on the trek back to Manchester after the game. He was seriously pissed and after grabbing hold of various people in an attempt to stay upright, then deciding it was a good idea to try and have a conversation a police van, promptly walked into an appropriately named collapsible bollard and went arse over apex.

I agree griff, he did win us the FA cup & in fairness would have kept us up had he not had bad luck with injuries to key players at various stages last season. However, following relegation he jumped ship at the first chance & for that i cant forgive. Had we have stayed up & he turned round & said “ive taken this club as far as i can its now time for a new challenge” that would not have been a problem in my eyes & i would have wished him well. Likewise if he stayed this season but failed in his attempt to get us promoted, just saying for arguments sake, i would have wished him well. At least jewell did say he would have stayed an extra season had we have gone down that day against sheffield utd.
sorry but i cant forgive him for the way he left & that is why i am thrilled to bits that my team went further than his.11 March 2014 at 4:07 am #128475Martinez,r u watching martinez!!!!

I don’t know why they don’t just avoid these threads, the post title must have given them a bit of a clue as to what was to follow. If they think they can change our minds, then they are a butty short of a picnic.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!11 March 2014 at 1:59 pm #128491Martinez,r u watching martinez!!!!

If you’re including me in that comment then it’s simply not true.I can completely understand people’s dislike for Martinez because he jumped ship; I’d have liked him to stay too.
What I can’t understand is how you defended him, his decisions, his team selections and tactics for three seasons – even claiming that his detractors didn’t know what they were talking about – and the minute he leaves, suddenly he is riddled with faults and is not such a great manager after all.
In effect you are admitting you never actually believed he was a good manager in the first place and those who said he was ‘clueless’ etc were actually right.
If you’d been saying ‘yes, he’s a great manager but an absolute w@nker for leaving us in the lurch’, then yes, I could understand that.
Runcorn’s view is not the same as yours. He hasn’t brought Martinez’s ability into question.
11 March 2014 at 2:08 pm #128494The irony is that Rosler has acknowledged that he adopted the tactics that Martinez employed at the Etihad and again at Wembley last season.
So Martinez deserves some credit for the victory too. And perhaps Rosler did his homework better than Pellegrini.

Martinez doesn’t deserve any credit for Sunday ! You are obviously a wind up poster, maybe even a multi ! Personally, I wasn’t bothered when Martinez left because he had taken us as far as he could and he admitted that ! I actually believe that Rosler is a better manager and could turn out to be our best manager ever ! Watch this space !
