Love him or hate him, he gave so much to football as player, coach and manager.
RIP
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
4 April 2018 at 7:16 pm #167985Legend within the game loved him as an England fan over 80 caps for the three lions. RIP Ray Wilkins.
4 April 2018 at 7:21 pm #167986Heard him on Talk Sport only last week. Always thought he talked a lot of sense. A proper football man. Very Sad.
4 April 2018 at 7:25 pm #167987I’m not sure if anybody would hate him. He just came across and as a very genuine decent bloke who disproved the saying about nice guys not getting anywhere.
RIP.
4 April 2018 at 8:00 pm #167990Always came across as a sincere bloke and when he spoke I don’t know anyone who disliked what he said, top man.
Pity you get paedophiles terrorists and murderers walking this earth and the good uns die young.4 April 2018 at 8:43 pm #167991Very sad news. He was a very good player, and a real football man. RIP.
4 April 2018 at 8:54 pm #167992Very sad news RIP Ray what a lovely man :( :(
5 April 2018 at 11:48 am #167998A true football man either on the playing field or as a summariser. RIP!
5 April 2018 at 1:34 pm #168001As someone who was born & raised a Man U supporter (season ticket & everything up till 89) Ray Wilkins was the first player who ever stood out to me as a kid as being head & shoulders above everyone else on the pitch – and that was at a time when United had Bryan Robson and the under-rated (& often forgotten) Remi Moses in midfield too.
He was absolute class and a player who would probably have played for far longer at far bigger clubs than he did had he been playing today when English football has come more in line with the continental style – It’s no coincidence that he’s thought of so fondly at AC Milan

Born and raised a Man Utd fan fair enough. When and why did you see the light and start being a fan and supporter of our club.
I for one have only ever had one club in my heart and that’s The Latics.
On the subject though Ray Wilkins was a credit and what a terrible tradegy to lose a gent of football. -
