Just waiting for bobs, pleased with the 2nd half reaction quote! The horse had bolted pal! Let in 3 in first half game over! Shocking defending as a team, against one of the poorest travellers in the league, worrying times!
They may be poor travellers but they battered us in every dept in that first half.But more so in midfield,missed Jones putting a foot instead we had Gomez pulling out off tackles and giving the ball away.Not the type of game for him today however not the only let down today.Feel a little worried today for the first time this season.
Yep, we were not good defensively today, I think Bob got it wrong personally. Why didn’t Golobart play as centre back and Boyce as RWB. Stam didn’t have too bad a game but he can’t defend and Sunderland exploited that area. A lot of their play came down our right hand flank in the first half.
By the way, Adam Johnson could give Tom Daley a run for his money when it comes to diving…
And what is it with our corners.We score from a deflection in there 6 yard box because they where all over the place.Then we take short corners when we them instead of testing them with crosses .Stam short corner to Gomez then pass to McCarthy then pass to Maloney then pass to Fig then lose it.

Very poor first half despite the early fluke goal and we cannot keep blaming refs -we were crap for 45 minutes and that was enough to lose this game today.
We made a very very ordinary team look like world beaters and conceded bloody awful goals.Stam was the best player in the first half ( never though I’d ever say that) which shows you how bad we were. there is no cutting edge and unless some transfer business is done sharpish to turn this damn awful season around then I’m afraid relegation is a certainty.All the other clubs around us are investing and having a go and we continue with our skinflint transfer policy signing kids from UnitedS youth team and randoms from America!!!!!!.
Feel sorry for BOB having to continually make do and mend and this policy we see us off this year I’m sure.
No miracle turnaround this season with this bunch so we may has well go hell for leather in the FA cup as our swansong before relegation.instead we had Gomez pulling out off tackles and giving the ball away.Thought Gomez was one of our better performers today, especially first half, which wasn’t too difficult a task I’ll admit. As for giving the ball away the whole team can be crticised for that so why pick on him. At least he did try to create something going forward.

Because they do, Sammy. Easy to pick on someone when everyone else who knows nothing as well is doing it.

Added some much needed urgency into a team that once again showed are totally bereft of ideas when they finally reach the final third.
It is worrying, and like I said the other day on one of the columns, it is not a striker I feel we miss, it’s a player capable of advancing with the ball with either the ability to unlock opposition defences or have the ability to beat a man. We are relying far too heavily on Maloney.
The most worrying aspect is that bottom half teams are coming and taking the p!ss like they did in the first half today.
I have always been positive but can’t see anything but relegation this year with this lot-we have had a brilliant run and Bob has worked miracles on a skinflint transfer policy.

The point is that he wasn’t anymore guilty of giving the ball away or bottling out of tackles than the rest of the teams so why single him out?
Poor defence cost us today. Gomez played ok. Espinoza looked good. Maloney was superb.
I understand that you can’t go gung-ho from the first minute but our attitude of “we have all day” when losing really frustrates me. You can dictate the pace and slow it down when you’re ahead but not when you’re behind.
