was utter garbage again. When will little Wigan get rub of green.
Hugos goal was a gud one.
Wasn’t a free kick that led to there ofside goal.
When will we get a fair play ref
21 March 2011 at 1:01 am #62214He was definitely one of the ” everyone look at me ” brigade.
When he got tripped by one of their players he was acting as if they should stop the game while we all had a jolly good laugh at what had just happened. He actually stopped still for about 10 seconds and was so conscious of the cameras being on him it was cringeworthy. After the trip when the ball went out of play he waved a pretend card at the player involved.
I bet he can’t wait for MOTD tonight to see it shown of the funny bits. And they will.

Hugo’s goal was correctly ruled out for a push.
Their goal was offside.
Birmingham had a nailed-on penalty not given.
I don’t want to compound your paranoia but think that was fair, as in equally bad for both teams, refereeing.

Lets be serious. Hugo’s goal was NOT a good one no matter which way you look at it! Can’t believe you actually moaned about that!

Then tell me why if Hugo’s goal was for a push did the ref give a drop ball and WE kicked the ball back to their goalie!???
22 March 2011 at 10:18 am #62294Was a drop ball given??
22 March 2011 at 11:13 am #62296Was a drop ball given??No, but the so called push was about ten yards outside the area, whereas the freekick was tacken near the penalty spot, roughly where Hugo and Foster collided implying the free kick was for a push on Foster not the defender.
I guarantee if Rooney, Drogba or Bendtner had done the same thing (i.e. go in 50/50 for a ball and come out with it), the goal would have been given.
22 March 2011 at 12:12 pm #62298What a load of balls
For a start, you could hear the ref blow his whistle virtually straight after Rodallega’s push – which was a push with his forearm into the small of the Brum defenders back
As for where they took the free kick – any ref will tell their linesman not to be too fussy about where free kicks are taken if they’re close to the team’s own penalty area. If they want to take it 10 yards further back than it should have been no match official is gonna argue the toss with em to make em bring it forward
As for whether the foul would have been given against the likes of Rooney & co, I like to think that as blatant a push as that will always be punished no matter who gives it & I’ve seen em given far more often than I’ve not – albeit if against Rooney it’ll be followed by an effin & jeffin outburst at the ref
If I’m honest whilst we’ve been on the end of a couple of ropey decisions in the previous couple of games whinging about blatantly correct decisions like Rodallega’s disallowed goal just make people look petty, bitter & scraping the barrel for excuses as to why the team loses

Yeah but, never let the facts get in the way of a good story, eh?
