The reserves are going well this season joint top of the league and only lost two. They rarely play first team fringe players and is usually made up of young lads. Hopefully is looking good for the future.
Yeah its good our young uns are doing well. The only problem is its seems to much of a risk to step them up to the Premier league. Not many teams do this these days as the Premier league often requires the finished article.
I suppose if the reserve team eventually produces one outstanding player then it is all worthwhile considering transfer fees for buying the same player elsewhere. It doesn’t happen that often though.
Last one was Bainsey and we made a tidy sum on him. Its definetely what is strangling our national game, the lack of natural skilled talent coming through.
