The whole article was slanted anyway. It talked about other final upsets yet none of those mentioned were anything like our great day not even the fantastic win by Wimbledon. Our upset was probably just slightly shaded by the epic wins by Brighton and Sunderland who won the cup whilst in the second tier but as far as being millions of pounds apart financially goes our win must be the greatest ever achievement in a final.
To think it begins again on Saturday. Can’t wait. I trust the loyal 8500 from last Saturday will all be there if not working or getting married etc.When did Brighton win the FA Cup??? :blink: :blink:

EDIT – for what it’s worth, I think the breakdown in Mancini’s relationship with his players was one of many things that tipped the result in our favour that day.
But did they chuck it??? Not in my opinion – the looks on their faces when Watson’s goal hit the back of the net that day is enough to confirm that for me. Not only that, but there was no need for them to chuck it. Mancini was getting the push anyway & they knew it. There was nothing for them to gain by “chucking” the match.
And anyway, there’s a world of difference between Arsenal players taking a poll on whether they wanted Rioch sacked & players deliberately chucking a cup final. I don’t see how Keys can even compare the 2I cannot believe that this post has not exploded with irate Latics fans. What that prick is saying is that City threw the game. Can you imagine the repercussions were it true. The FA would come down on City like a ton of bricks. Betting firms would be after blood if they thought that match fixing in our game existed.
