there is no point in calling for him to be sacked, Dave Whelan needs to start backing him now before it is too late.
You can’t compete in this league without investing in quality players.
Yes, Martinez hasn’t signed any decent players, but ask yourself, has he bought people he wants, or just players Whelans very limited budget allows him.
This is all Dave Whelans fault, we sell quality players for £M’s of pounds, and replace them with cheap options who are just not up to Premier League standard.
You can’t expect to compete against the likes of Man Utd by doing this.
Come on Dave, it time to show us if you really care about WAFC.31 December 2009 at 1:37 am #16534Yes Horc I know that but every time I have ever called the almighty one I have been shot down with the usual delusional stuff ” He got us where we are today” and “it aint his fault he cant attract quality players” etc etc etc Its banal ! My own personal opinion is that he bit off more than he could chew and wont admit it so he just shows himself up with silly soundbites to avert the attention away from the fact that he is slowly but surely cashing in his chips and he really doesn’t give a flying V about the fans !
31 December 2009 at 1:39 am #16536Your wasting your cyber ink Horc….Whelan will not open his wallet.
He has just spent £20 mill on enlarging his fitness buisness and I wonder whether a lot of that money came from the sales of Valencia, Palacious etc.
I really hope Whelan doesn’t sack Roberto but I fear he will try and use him as a scape goat.

He can do no wrong in some of these pricks eyes.
I agree that we wouldn’t have got to where we are without him, that’s obvious, I just hope he soon realises the damage he is causing by not investing before its too late.31 December 2009 at 2:10 am #16564Your wasting your cyber ink Horc….Whelan will not open his wallet. He has just spent £20 mill on enlarging his fitness buisness and I wonder whether a lot of that money came from the sales of Valencia, Palacious etc.

The money is certainley not going on player investment.
i know wages are high and all that, and we need to try to make ends meet, but he knew all this before we got to this league.
If he doesn’t want to spend any money and he isn’t interested anymore, he should be looking for some external investment to help out.31 December 2009 at 2:10 am #16565He has a month to prove to the fans that he actually gives a 5hit but even if he doesn’t make any improvements to the squad the rose tinted glasses brigade will back him all the way !! They must love him more than he loves us coz his best memories are of Blackburn Rovers !

some people have short memories ;)
31 December 2009 at 2:45 am #16601if you spent as much time supporting your team as you did finding that “sack him” then you might actually be useful

What’s that supposed to mean?
We all know that he has done wonders for us, and we have got to where we are because of him, but we are now hanging on despite of him.
Surely you can see that the lack of investment and the selling of all our major assets is crippling us, and we are going to go back to where we started from unless he decides to invest.31 December 2009 at 2:49 am #16606some people have short memories ;) [/quote]
