So what was the point in dragging him back from a loan spell he was enjoying at St Johnstone, only for us to then bring in a left back on loan from Liverpool?
One minute we are bigging our kids up, the next we are doing things like this.
If I were LR I’d be looking to get away in the summer. Either throw some trust in him, or let him go somewhere else.
Well I’m flabbergasted, the lads just established himself up in Scotland with regular football and from reports playing pretty darn good as well. He’s then dragged back to us as were short and then its announced were in for the lad from Liverpool same position! wtf !!.
Now this lad from Liverpool will not be coming to bench warm i’ll guarantee you that. He’ll no doubt have a clause of some sort of “minutes to be to played” or something similar to that lump Fletcher had (waste of space). Liverpool will need the lad to gain experience playing 1st team football and if we didn’t use him Liverpool wouldn’t be best pleased.
And Robinson is out of contract in the summer !!. He finally had the chance to advertise himself in the shop window for a summer move and now he’s more than likely gonna be sat on the bench for now till May. I’m not going to slate Maloney till we see how all this all pans out. Firstly the lad has to come and prove himself to the manager then be picked over Robinson but if it does ?, I’ll be disgusted in Maloney

Robinson’s contracts up June 30th 2024, I’m sure this has made his mind up, he will always be 2nd best. we have 14 players (including Chambers) out of contact or loans up this summer. Now based on, we couldn’t afford to pay Weirs loan wages reportedly £1500 a week this summer will be a shambles of the highest order especially with Football Chairman and less scouts that Little Big Horn at the club right now.

I can only think the reason he’s been let go is, Robinson is a defender and this doesn’t suit Maloney who prefers wingbacks someone to get up and down the touchline.
But, I seem to remember Boycie coming to the club as an out and out defender before he was converted to play the wingback and for a good few years (before his legs went) he played that position brilliantly.For me there’s no way he should be let go. Next year we’ll be scabby eyed hunting for a left back, someone cheap, cheap wages and good. The same goes for Lang.lets not forget, next season we’ll be playing L1 football run on a shoe string wage budget

And if we let young Scotty Smith go as well it will make a mockery of our new age plan bringing home grown through with Robinson Lang & Smith potentially all leaving this summer.
Rather than using money to buy players why not keep what you got and pay less out ??Quite depressing in reality.
We’ll probably sell our young crown jewels in another sale of the century Not really Smith and Robinson are both out of contract this summer Lang has a year left so he’ll be the one we’d get something for. I’m not sure what the panic and rush is to sell Lang in a Jan window when very little sales take place
Surely it would be better for us and him to wait till the summer and let him find a club then when there’ll be far more takers.
That’s another thing I don’t understand, selling players with 18 months left why not 12 ??.
