22 October 2010 at 3:51 pm #49137Mercenary.
22 October 2010 at 3:55 pm #49138Well done Rooney, it’s nice to see a bit of loyalty in football?????
22 October 2010 at 4:13 pm #49141Certainly came out of the blue….sure its not about money, he can pick wherever he wants to go and will get paid what he demands, but I bet there’s a get-out clause, if they dont win the title or the CL either this or next season
22 October 2010 at 4:14 pm #49142Do you not think it’s all been a big game, red nose gets him to look like he’s throughing his dummy out becuase they won’t invest in players. red nose says no we don’t need it, wanchor wayne says i’m leaving if you don’t buy some top players to make me look better. Big fuss, big meeting, new contract and pressure on the yanks to cough up for a few £30m+ players.
it’s not red nose’s fault, he tows the line – we have enough quality coming through and there is no value for money out there.22 October 2010 at 5:38 pm #49146Do you not think it’s all been a big game, red nose gets him to look like he’s throughing his dummy out becuase they won’t invest in players. red nose says no we don’t need it, wanchor wayne says i’m leaving if you don’t buy some top players to make me look better. No, you’re thinking too deeply.Rooney’s thick and as soon as he has seen how much public opinion is against him, has backed down.
Plus, all those hoodies The Sun sent round to his house last night has frikened him.
22 October 2010 at 5:55 pm #49147The problem with the greedy little c**t is he surrounds himself with arselickers, he as no concept what goes on in the outside world.
What a week to throw his toys out the pram, do you think he’s even heard of the spending review!
22 October 2010 at 6:17 pm #49148I reckon fatmundo has got it spot on…..Rooney tells Utd he wants away (in August), they have a relatively poor start to the season, said conversation comes to light in October and 2 days later its sorted.
Result = Ferguson squeezes money out of Glazers, Utd spend £50m in transfer window, and either go on to win the league and Champions League, or they win nothing and Rooney to Madrid/Barca/City is back on.
Ferguson has used Rooney and the media to get hands put in pocket and the whole world has fallen for it….having said that Ferguson could say anything he wanted about Glazer and not fear the sack, if they were daft enough to sack him, there would be a Glazer wearing concrete boots in a USA river or hanging from the rafters at Old Trafford.
22 October 2010 at 6:21 pm #49149Does anyone really think he’s got the brains to make a decision for himself?
All I’ve seen over the last few days is his Agent pushing Rooney one direction so that the Agent himself gets a shedload of dosh, then Ferguson finally convincing him to stay where he is and not be a t**t.
Given the form he’s in though, I can see him being out on loan next season.
22 October 2010 at 7:54 pm #49155Don’t want to say ‘I told you so guys’ but…
Now lets see how many United fans still insist he’s a ‘disloyal scouse tw.at’ like they did this morning.
22 October 2010 at 8:27 pm #49158So he has signed a 5 year contract. Football contracts aint worth the paper they are written on ! Look at Ronaldo, he had 4 years left on his and he went ! It happens all the time and the richer the player the less significance it has on them financially ! The only reason I could see him stopping was if Mourinho was to be Utds next boss. He seemed quite adamant that Rooney was going nowhere when interviewed the other night ? Should that not be the case then if Utd dont win anything of note in say the next 20 month then he will be offski !
22 October 2010 at 11:33 pm #49174Either Jose takes over or Rooney goes. Certainly not all peaceful but capitalism wasn’t going to allow this sort of debate to carry on for long.
After the revolution the Latics are in the top 4.
22 October 2010 at 11:41 pm #49175How thick are the utd fans being interviewed by sky, to quote “am buzzin is sign’d a nu deal” no pal he’s took the f*****g piss!
Please tell me the utd fans aren’t that thick!
