bloody hell when was the m62 australia cup played nothing much publicised or even the result
who actually won and what did they win
was it a fortnights holiday for winning team in chorley or 500 quid split between the team ?

First prize – a week’s holiday in Chorley.

Second prize – two week’s holiday in Chorley.

Don’t be sending them fat wasters to Chorley, send them to Bolton or Horwich they’ll be far happier amongst their own there.

Only saw the first 20 min, the Mrs wanted to go to Waitrose…

What’s that with having 2 referees? Do they have to agree every decision between them?

Can you imagine having 2 Phil Dowds….or even worse some of the men who impersonate referees in this division we’re in for a season :woohoo:

Poor Horwich whatever did that small town do to deserve having Bowton and at one time almost the parasites dumped on them and losing their own football club.

They play with 2 referees in the NRL in a bid to speed the game up which has worked pretty well.

One referee will be the main official and will monitor the defensive line for offsides and will make the majority of the decisions on things such as high tackles and forwards passes.

The second official controls the play the ball so that sides can’t try to slow the play down. He’ll also advise the main referee on anything he may have missed.

Wigan made too many mistakes in the opening 20 minutes or so and gave themselves too much to do. Even when we got back into the game at 24-14 we then gifted them the final two tries off the back of silly mistakes.
The result could have been far worse and I’d have taken that at kick off if I’m being honest because I expected us to get truly stuffed.

From the bit I saw the handling errors at times where shocking. The Wigan team couldn’t catch a cold.

Well beaten, not stuffed is a fair summary!

18-0 when we went out…so feared the worst

Did that flight 4 years ago…very long way home!
