No doubt this is what he said at minute 4 of his interview with Uncle Dave, thus explaining why ‘it was clear he was the right man’ after 5 minutes.

Try reading the article again aff, Uwe said he doesn’t know what he needs yet.He has only 3 week before the window opens and knows nowt about the team yet.You can guarantee that new players will arrive in Jan at least let the fellow have a look and a think about who he believes will benefit Wigan Athletic.

A very well reasoned point. And I accept your correction.
12 December 2013 at 12:55 pm #124730And even if it was true that Whelan has said there will be no more money available, I think we all accepted at the beginning of the season that the squad was certainly big enough (short of the odd striker) and shoud have been good enough to cope with the demands of the schedule.
It would be interesting to see if Rosler could get a better tune out of the players that are already here (accepting that we have a couple of injuries) and if he does feel the need to strengthen, where that strengthening needs to happen.
12 December 2013 at 2:59 pm #124733We spent big when we bought Holt.
I’m sure Rosler will give the team a structure rather than leave the players to their own devices.

Today we had more structure than we have shown all season. First game I have seen under uwe but am pretty confident we have a great young manager here?
Barking orders from his tech box all match. How loud is his whistle by the way!16 December 2013 at 3:05 am #124880I won’t be spending big either, got all the tackle I need for the moment.
