Rosler 21 points from 11 games now
Coyle 22 from 16 barrow got zilch from his 2Last year Cardiff won the league with 87 and hull went up automatically with 79
Why all the debate on roslers tactics on his own pts to game ratio he’s well on target for a top two spot
12 February 2014 at 12:03 pm #127208At 1.9 points per game we would be 4th under Roslers tally. Hes made a solid start given what came before him. Still think we will struggle to make the top 6 without a settled side in place but happy to be proved wrong!

12 February 2014 at 12:40 pm #127212That’s very wishfull thinking I hope your right, however theirs a lot of good teams above us who are picking up points when we have not ie Forest last night at Huddersfield and that’s down to to much swapping and changing, what I would say is if it wasn’t for have I got good legs Coyle we would be up top with out a doubt, just the constant changes can’t be good for our results. Onwards and upwards .
12 February 2014 at 1:23 pm #127215I don’t think that you can argue with his points per game tally which is why i said in another thread that I do think he’d doing a good job – but like you I think that without the constant tinkering that he could be doing even better
Incidentally according to my truster season tracker I’ve devised in work, latics haven’t been as high as 9th in the table since we beat Forest on 31st August
12 February 2014 at 1:55 pm #127217Yeah if he stopped tinkering then we would still have Crainey at LB and Holt up front.
Then we’d be doing better……
12 February 2014 at 2:50 pm #127220Wigan have been behind in league matches since playing in the Community Shield. That seems an eternity ago.
They will slip further behind if they continue their cup run. But I still want a win at Cardiff.

The Championship is a very competitive league and probably the hardest to compete in ! We have picked up 21pts in the last 8 weeks or so and moved up 1 place !
12 February 2014 at 3:24 pm #127225So all those who are crying out for a settled side, exactly what is our best XI?
12 February 2014 at 3:47 pm #127227Yeah if he stopped tinkering then we would still have Crainey at LB and Holt up front. Then we’d be doing better……
Yes coz you can only have a settled side if you pick Holt & Crainey (who I don’t know if you noticed but he played at the weekend)
12 February 2014 at 4:48 pm #127232I’ll bite on this one. For me, the side we put out last night was pretty strong but we left our two most creative players on the bench, So assuming Powell and Maloney are still injured injured I’d go with.
Ali, Beausejour, Barnett, Boyce, Perch, McCann, McArthur, Gomez, McManaman, Waghorn, Maynard.
Then, when Powell’s fit, put him in instead of Waghorn; and when Maloney’s fit drop Powell. With McClean, Espinoza, Fortune, Waghorn and Powell on the bench you’d have our best squad.
12 February 2014 at 5:05 pm #127233moan, moan, moan
maybe there should be a vote before every game so that the fans can pick the team and the formation
then we could all blame each other whenever we don’t win by at least 4
or, here’s a thought, maybe we could employ someone to do that job and let them get on with it
12 February 2014 at 7:10 pm #127237Sorry, I misread the title of the thread.
