No grounds for an appeal, the facts of the situation are quite clear.
Perhaps an appeal may also mean further points dropped if they fail.
They will take it on the chin and go all guns blazing on Saturday against Norwich. Their little sphincter muscles will certainly be twitching for 90 odd minutes.
Rotherham United have been deducted three points and fined £30,000 by a Football Disciplinary Commission for fielding an ineligible player.
The Millers played Derby defender Farrend Rawson in the 1-0 win over Brighton on 6 April, a day after the 18-year-old’s youth loan had expired.
Losing the three points means Rotherham are now one point above the Championship relegation zone.
The club have said they intend to appeal before the 1 May deadline.
In a statement, Rotherham said they were “very disappointed” by the decision.
“We await the reasoned judgement of the FDC and once we have received it we will issue our appeal after discussion with Jim Sturman QC,” it said.
They’ll decide whether to appeal after their next two games, by which case they will probably be back on 44 points by 10pm on Tuesday after they turn over a Reading side who have nothing to play for.
Chances of Wigan or Millwall being on 41 points by then….slim considering their next opponents.

You’re a closet Latics fan really aren’t you Mutty. I think it’s time you came out.

Ah, but what will the crowd be[/quote]
One more than if they’d been playing at the same time as your beloved Warriors.
and…
Plenty more than there’ll be next season when all those ST holders dont renew.
Mutty you are a knob.if relegation happens I for one will still support my team. I watched them since I was a boy of seven in 1978 home and away and I really am looking forward to seeing some of the old grounds from that time and will still support my team. Our attendances may well decrease but I , like many others, will still support my team! Do you get the essence of what I’m getting at?
I believe you support Sunderland.great avheients for such a ‘massive’ club… That must make you very proud
You really should direct your anger towards the two pillocks above who made sarcastic comments relating to attendances. My post merely pointed out that Rotherham will probably be on 44 points and safe come 29 April, and their appeal will be quietly withdrawn.
Good luck in your big game tomorrow. Ive stuck a few quid on a Wigan win at 2/1 safe in the knowledge those two pillocks wont enjoy a win so much knowing I’ve won a few quid!
Blunder land don’t make me laugh !
The only ground where you leave at full time to avoid the traffic.
Hear they have built a giant cot on the stadium of shites carpark ( opens at 3-45 home games) with dummies supplied!
