Rotherham v Wigan. Preview.
This preview is based on the performance of match officials so far this season.
The teams lined up, Rotherham kick off. Deflection off Darikwa, Rotherham throw in on the half way line. Half way line, really? That looks like its level with the penalty area. Oh well. 4th official is oblivious to it.
Back pass to the Rotherham ‘keeper. Lie on it, bounce it, kick it over the stand.
Half time. Stats possession 4%, time wasting 96%. Yellow cards 0.
Second half.
Shocking foul of Lang. Ignored. Advantage to someone. Jimmy Mc is having none of it. Yellow card.
Some how Wigan get a free kick. Inch perfect by Power, Keane dribbles the ball past 2 defenders, nutmegs the keeper. GOAL – offside.
Full time. 6 minutes extra time.
Stats. Ball in play 2 minutes. Time wasting. 44 minutes. Injuries / stoppages 0. extra time 6 minutes.
Yup, it all makes sense!
I’ve watched the disallowed goal, as per usual sh1t refs cost us. The goalie comes out for a ball and jumps into our player and gets the foul.
Langs shoved in the back in the box no pen. Not 60 seconds later Rotherham get a free kick for the exact same offence.That ref and 2ft 4″ linesman were a joke. League 1&2 are littered with pi$$poor officials it spoils the game
Took granddaughter last night. Enjoyed every minute. Great stadium,atmosphere and 2 good sides slugging it out toe to toe. Reminded me of why I’ve loved watching football over last 50 years. Not going to analyse the performance…..every player on pitch deserves credit. Hope its both teams promoted come season end. More guts and blood and effort in that 1 game than all this weekends premier league dross put together. Well done both teams.
