What a journey!28 April 2011 at 12:38 am #64245…as opposed to a gruelling Easter match against a side with 1 draw and 8 defeats in their last 9 games, no home victory since New Year’s Day, no fit strikers on the field for the last half an hour.
Remind me what the score was again….

47 – 28 was the catalans score
28 April 2011 at 3:08 am #64255If you are referring to the game played on 8 Apr 2011, then you are incorrect. I suggest you at least get your facts right if you are trying to show off in front of your mates.
As I said above, now that the uncertainty over the future of Mr M is sorted, the team have started winning again.
Now, about this Martinez bloke – is he being headhunted for any job other than the position of bag-carrier in some Torquay hotel?

28 April 2011 at 11:06 am #64258Yes – Now that his post has been “edited” or “moderated”.
I dont know which one of you is worst – him for trying to bait whilst getting his facts wrong, or you for changing posts to suit your personal agenda.
Fortunately you cant moderate the scores on the pitch – how many times is it Latics have conceded more than 4 this season?
Or have they won every game 3-0 in your moderated world?

The Metro runs right past the ground with a choice of two stops. Catch it from Newcastle (20 mins away) and save yourself the hassle of trying to drive amongst 35-40,000 people all trying to get away from the same place at the same time.28 April 2011 at 3:04 pm #64269Oh goosey can you explain how you know so much about the stadium of light or have you let your guard downMcGoose

Have a look at http://www.safc.com/page/ClubVisitorsGu … 39,00.html
in particular the bit that starts with “Metro”. Rather than purely posting a link in my original reply I tried to be helpful and summarise the whole page for someone who asked a question.
Of course I could have been rude and just said “Check their website”, but unlike some on here I prefer to try and help when a proper question is asked.
I dont understand what you mean by “guard”, but I hope that answers your question.
28 April 2011 at 3:11 pm #64270Now not wanting to be a bit of a snoop and I’m sure a eggie will put me right but didn’t the worriers give away six free tickets with every season ticket sold and a whole stand against the quins ,£26 for a kids season ticket the list goes on and on and on :D
I believe you’re referring to the ‘Scrum’ ticket offer which allows the ticket holder to bring 6 guests who only have to pay £5 each for their tickets.
For the Harlequins game the stand is sold to Heinz, who are then free to do whatever they like with the tickets they receive. They may give some tickets away although I’m pretty sure last time they sold them at about £3 per ticket.
Both clubs have special offers to try to attract fans. I don’t think either Latics or Warriors actually give away tickets (at least not in bulk or on a large enough scale to alter attendances). The argument over who has the most fans comes up all the time. Wigan rugby has over 10,000 season ticket holders and I’m pretty sure Latics have the same or similar.[/quote]
Your quote about Heinz is wrong, but I suspect you knew that when you posted. They don’t just give some North Stand tickets to Heinz. They give them the whole stand. And Heinz don’t charge a single penny never mind £3. My brother gets half a dozen for his wifes family every season.
28 April 2011 at 10:50 pm #64292Did we find out if Mutly sorry I mean McGoose is an ultra……..if I come across a chubster I ask “are you an ultra” the replies always the same “no”. So I’m beginning to think being a chubster ultra is a bit like being a member of the BNP………nobody admits to it!

Why have you got alzheimers er sumut?
Maybe Sunderland had gone on a bad run, but the team they put out still cost about 5 times more than ours. In fact one player of theirs cost more than the entire squads of Wigan Worriors, Saints un wild kittens put together. Does that put the two sports we follow into perspective eh sunshine?
