The point I am making is that the media continue to berate our attendances and state the rugby town myth as the reason.I hear this myth week in week out and yet we have the cold hard evidence in the same week both clubs were live on sky.
11,902 (local derby) last night against 22,547 last sunday I rest my case!
pointless league, pointless crowd, pointless village game, pointless existence……..worst advert for rugger yorky league imaginable…..well done worryers…….RUGBY TOWN
Pointless poster. Give it a rest, you’re worse than they are.

Of course I can accept facts, you buffoon. We ALL agree with you, mate… but there’s no need to post the same facts over and over again. The Egg is right – you seem to care more about the rugby than you do about Latics.
In all honesty, a few weeks ago when they played Warrington, I couldnt get through doors of Burger King, the queue was well outside.
I gave up and drove off towards Beech Hill. parked up at the lights at the crossroads, they were teeming down the hill like ants out of an ants nest. There didnt seem to be any decline in their support that night, and yes, toa degree, it could be labelled a rugby town. But it isn’t now…it was 10 years ago, perhaps.
In all honesty, yes, the rugby does have a lot of support…..but so do we. The difference is, and I am not being funny about this, but we are in the Premier League, at the pinnacle of the sport of football. No other sport can compete either financially, commercially, or in exposure.
Latics are by far a much bigger club than we were 10 years ago, thats for sure.

NFL? $2.5 MILLION for a 30 second advert during the Superbowl.

But how many people outside of America are actually ARSED about the superbowl or NFL?
