as long as our 25,138 is intact (every single seat full in DW)……then they can win 80-0 in front of 24k for all i care….it’s just as pointless as the widnes game last week and every other souper league game in the regular season…..pointless friendly matches
years ago in the week leading up to good friday, all the talk in town would have been about wurryers v saint helens……..NOWADAYS………it’s got to be the least talked about good friday game in recent memory. The only people iv’e heard mention it are 4 worryers fans in work (and 2 off them watch us)
Maybe they were shocked we got 22.5k on for a team at the opposite end of the country on a sunday..or the fact we won…or callums tackle getting more column inches than the whole of souper league gets in a year….or wembley tickets going on sale……or the fact we have an outstanding chance of qualifying for the group stage of the Europa League which would make them even more paranoid than they already are???????
WHO KNOWS EH?
p.s…….i just hope to god they don’t wreck our pitch for saturday….they will have played TWICE on it before we get on it…….i hope the cameras/journos/radio/papers etc take note of the condition that they’ll leave the pitch in

30 March 2013 at 1:46 am #106676Lord of the Pies….would you like to tell us how many times in the last month that the attendance at your previous game has been surpassed. Oh and don’t give me 11,000 on last week, you’ve played 5 games at home and 3 times less than 10,000 (7,500 last week), Wiganers have actually paid to watch Wigan RL

30 March 2013 at 3:36 am #106690Just a couple of quick questions for our fat friends who try to point score re attendances.
1. Has your average attendance over a season matched that of the Latics over the last eight seasons?
If yes, state the season and the average attendance, please don’t count Cup Finals and Millennium Misery weekends were 8 teams always claim to have had 30,000 watching them.2. How many times since you moved into our ground have you topped 20,000 spectators for a league match?
I am not sure of the answer to question one, and I definitely don’t know the answer to the 2nd question.
I do however know how many times The Latics have topped 20,000 for a league match. -
