6 June 2012 at 11:58 pm #88859We are leading contenders to sign Michael Owen and Danny Murphy after both being released by their clubs..A fit M Owen could still do the business, and would probably bring in a few more fans. Whether he is worth the risk with his fitness, I’m not sure. Pay per contract maybe.
Murphy would be a good replacement for Diame/Thomas as back up for the Maccas.
Not sure whether either would interest Bob, though as they don’t really fall into his ‘young player’ regime.7 June 2012 at 12:48 am #88865Not wishing to be the killjoy but read today (Daily Mail, I think) that Murphy is to be offered another contract at Fulham.

Thanks for keeping us up to date.7 June 2012 at 1:32 am #88869think it would be a none starter anyway the wages these two would want would be a step back

How much do you think he will want per game? i go for around 7,000 which is still to much for pay as you play7 June 2012 at 2:27 am #88877pay as you play for Owen id go £5k per game.
3k per goal with bonuses for wins and hit bonuses if he surpasses 10 goals,15 goals and 20 goals. These bonuses should be hefty to give him the incentive.
He could easily earn 20k per week revive his career and leave if a bigger club came knocking again for him.
If the fecker gets injured we pay him nowt-could be worth a pop! ;)7 June 2012 at 2:38 am #88878pay as you play for Owen id go £5k per game.

Boselli will be back to bang them in next season.7 June 2012 at 3:11 am #88882Rumours

Experience tells me that is highly unlikely to happen
7 June 2012 at 4:21 am #88888Danny Murphy is still the only player I have actually stood up and clapped off when playing for the opposition.
Our first game in the premier league away was Charlton and it is still the best display I’ve seen from a midfielder since we got in the prem. He got subbed with about 10 mins to go and I applauded him off the pitch, despite getting strong looks from the fans around me, he was awesome! goodpost
From Matlock to ManU
