tin hat on waiting for the happy clappers,

but you know as well as me who is right.

Agree all the way

must be a trait of all spanish managers, because from what i have seen iat liverpool, spurs, and now us they seem to turn reasonable teams into crap ones.
31 December 2009 at 12:41 am #16456It’s clear. He can’t do it. At least not with these players. You need to play to your limitations – and the team have plenty of them. A sensible bloke would have played 4 4 2 and got the team to work their socks off. Change the system after a year after spending time recruiting people who can do what you want. The last year has been unpleasant what with Bruce deciding he was off, the team being sold off and now RM being exposed as totally our of his depth.
No more humiliation Dave. It doesn’t have to be like this.
Never thought I’d say it but the return of PJ would bring a smile to my face.
31 December 2009 at 12:49 am #16462For God sake, what were you expecting a 5-0 win?
We’ll never be able to compete with the likes of United, but obviously some people don’t realise this. The games like these are miss matches, the games that we should be moaning about are when we lose to the likes of Wolves and Pompey. Not United. And lots of teams have suffered terribly from changing their manager more often than their shirts (Newcastle) So what good would getting rid of Roberto do? He needs time, but of course, patience isn’t one of the virtues a football fan beholds.
31 December 2009 at 12:51 am #16465Common sense and the ability to motivate a group of disaffected journey men is what he needs. Sadly he has neither- and heaven knows I wanted him to have.

Aye it is the culling season for managers

you r taking the piss, yes we wasnt going to win, but surely he could have tried a different system, but he only knows 451 which is not working, sack him now
31 December 2009 at 12:56 am #16474imo i think we should keep RM and sign gary megson ;)
31 December 2009 at 12:59 am #16480you r taking the yellow water, yes we wasnt going to win, but surely he could have tried a different system, but he only knows 451 which is not working, sack him nowIf we went to OT with 2 up front we would have got stuffed about 10-0! Such would have been our vulnerability in midfield! Plus if we play 4-4-2, then we would have to put Scotland up front, which is effectively playing a 4-4-1 formation.

you really do not have a clue, fair point scotland is not gud enough, but even the greatest striker would find it hard to play up front on his own with our team, so at least martinez could have played with two up front and gave scotland a break, ps he his still not gud enough but every one deserves help31 December 2009 at 1:08 am #16492I think we should just forget games like these as we’re never going to win at OT really are we. Games like these are really not worth arguing over, or even attending as it is obvious that we’re going to lose. I don’t care who the manager is, or what formation we play. Whatever team United put out will be better than ours, and will 99 times out of 100 win. And we just have to live with that, and not blast the manager saying that we demand a win because we’re Wigan. Teams like us don’t go to OT and win, not even the likes of Liverpool win at OT.
31 December 2009 at 1:10 am #16496There’s a world of diffrence between losing and giving up the ghost before a ball is kicked.
31 December 2009 at 1:56 am #16554Duke…..so we should write off the games against Utd and the likes? Tell that to the fans who turned up and saw that sack of shoite.
What about the 4-0 loss to Pompey? Maybe we should write off games like that as well.
Bobby needs to go he’s not got a clue.
