Surely whoever agreed to that ridiculous contract had a good reason.
Should only apply if they took it up whilst he was playing for them and should have been written in that if the offer wasn’t taken up then, then it wouldn’t apply.
A totally ridiculous contract but there was a hell of a lot went on last summer that we don’t know about at all.
