Just goes to show you don’t need 50 passes to score and yes we finally got an outlay whilst defending corners
28 September 2016 at 4:01 am #151065That was me OK winding Horc up. What it is is that we have a static caravan and the season overlaps both ends of the football season so I don’t get to as many games as I would like too. Tonight was the first match I have been able to make due to being away and not one I was ever going to miss. I would openly admit that comments about pricing are just banter but do merit discussion as some of the matches like tonight are too overpriced to attract casuals. As for the football well this passing game mularky is not everyone’s cup of tea but yes others do enjoy it and I respect that. What it does though when commenting in such a blunt and flippant manner is promote communication and views on the subject. Hey man it’s all just banter and we all want the best for Latics. Barby will be on this Spring at the caravan in Alston for after the Toon game. That is a must only 44 miles from Newcastle. Up the ‘tics.
28 September 2016 at 11:04 am #151067Given the possession we have the low number of chances we create has to be a worry. Surely if you have the ball twice as much as the opposition you should be creating more chances if your strategies beating fruit? Felt Sorry for Yanic as he constantly has 2-3 men marking him when he gets the ball. Still. A wins a win. This squad has enough decent players to avoid being in the bottom 3 all season that’s for sure.

Mine tho is in a proper place Southport. Do yourself a favour lad and change sites coz the North East is a bleak place and too far away from the DW. Riverside is the site to be on marrer and the resident DJ is a life long Latics fan, ME.
28 September 2016 at 12:21 pm #151070Now that club there used to a have right name for pulling.
28 September 2016 at 1:03 pm #151073I think some of you are being hard give the lads some credit, Wolves never stopped pressing, their work rate when not in possession was the best I’ve seen this season. A good win against a team that will win more than they will lose.
28 September 2016 at 2:03 pm #151074The lads deserve credit for grinding out a win. They deserve credit for not giving up. They deserve credit for keeping the possession and frustrating Wolves.
From my point of view and many others but not everyone’s this was terrible football to watch.
It may have worked and thank goodness we won but it’s just hard work watching.
Ironical that the best pass of the night was Jake Buxton’s to Will Grigg. He will probably be dropped on Saturday for that.28 September 2016 at 2:25 pm #151077Well I missed it because I had to take my lad to karate ( He has a grading on Friday night ) but I had a feeling we would win! Possession wise we have been pretty good lately, we just need to be more positive going forward but that will come with confidence, Byrne a big plus to the side in my opinion, he’s going to be a good one is that lad! I reckon we can get a draw at Brentford, who knows maybe nick it late on!
28 September 2016 at 2:30 pm #151078This is for you Donny!
28 September 2016 at 8:42 pm #151097Now that club there used to a have right name for pulling. Not now Donny, just residents and holidaymakers. The old rooms are derelict great place to live marrer.

This team defo has the ability to finish at mid table at least.
29 September 2016 at 2:16 am #151110So with 2-3 marking Can out of the game there should be great big holes in the opposition’s defence.
