We have to win simple as that, if the players cant win on saturday we will go down, and that is were i end my support for wafc, if the players cant produce, and for big dave we are playing sunderland not birmingham, stop blaming other people dave and start looking at yourself, you have destroyed a team which only needed a couple more additions to take the next step, and to be honest i cant see us winning, :(

If we get beat on Saturday, then I’m off too.***

I can go and support ”Man U’ as they are odd’s on to be Champions…..oh hang on, no they’re not as good these days. The golden generation are getting old.

Ok, Liverpool. Now there’s a great team. Oh, hang on a minute, they are slacking this season, but theres the Cham….er Europa League… :o Oh ok, maybe not…..

I tell you what, I’ll stick to Wigan Athletic. We have no ‘idea’s of grandeur’ about us. We know we are as likely to get beat 2-0 as win 2-0. We know we don’t have to worry about mid-season trips to Eastern Europe. We know our best bet of a foreign away day is Swansea or Cardiff in the cup, and we know that the press and media really don’t want us here.

            But we don’t care.

            ***sarcasm.

You are taking the pish arent you?

We are still in the Premier League for f*ck’s sake. The youngest, ‘smallest’ club ever to do so.

We have a Wigan born and bred chairman, and the nearest we’ll ever get in this league to a Wigan lad as manager.

Yet, you still blame Whelan? ‘Let’s push for the next step’: Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Everton, Wigan. It’s a natural sequence isn’t it? Forget Europe.

If we stay up this season, well done Roberto in your first season as a Premier League manager.

If we go down, we could all go to Parbold and camp out, Swampy-esque, in front of Whelan’s house until he gets the message and leaves town. Or, alternatively, appreciate what has been done for the club in a very short space of time, and continue supporting the team whatever league they are playing in.

I’m sick of the two poles we have as supporters. The ‘I was at Canvey Island and wish we still played in front of a thousand’ and the ‘Champions League or bust’ brigades. How many appreciative supporters are there out there? People who have seen the dross that was served up season after season, and who actually value the steps that have been made in recent years?

I’m sorry, but I thought the Premier League years would all end in May 2006, and for me, every year since has been a bonus. If you can’t abide life outside the Premier League, go and support Man U etc.

A European campaign would absolutely kill us, with our squad.

Agree with all you say, but I just wish Whelan would be a bit more careful before he opens his mouth, like last night on Sky.

“We need to get back to winning ways against Birmingham at home next week”.

I was shocked that he didn’t even know who our next game is against, to be honest. I thought he’d be more on the ball, than that.
