Some horrible scenes last night with fans running on the pitch and fighting over the side of the bridge between both sets of fans. I usually sit in ES3 but chose to sit in ES5 yesterday which turned out to be a great decision.

Just read this thread on Wiganer. net

I like a few others have sometimes mentioned fans who are not turning up to the games in the league and have indeed criticised the database system ran at the DW. I admit I was wrong and if the system keeps scroats like that away from our ground it should be kept in no matter of our attendance. My mate(A Noblot fan) went to the game with his dad who a few months ago had a stroke and last night was the first time he’d been back to a game again. He was caught up in all the trouble last night and anything couild have happened. Young ‘fans’ i use the term loosely who claim to support this club, don’t make me laugh. Really disgusted with last nights action from a section of our fans.

It kicked off in the other cup game at the Reebok, and it obviously was going to be the same … but worse. I stood in ES2 as I do for all cup games and i’m not going to change that.

About 3 mins into added time most of the fans in ES2 including me started to make their way to the concourse. At the end of the game about 30 Bolton fans came from the top of their stand all the way to the bottom throwing coins at the supporters trying to leave through the ES1 exit. I count myself lucky as I waited in ES1 until it became less mad (if that’s the right phrase) yet the lad next to me was hit in the face by a coin. He threw plenty back at them and was caught doing so by a steward.

The lads who went on the pitch I hold nothing against, it was funny, get over it those who think this is ‘not on’. The fans made no attempt to harm a steward, player, Noblot fan or even run around the pitch much.

After the game. It seemed quite calm and relaxed as I got out of the ground, about 20 of us singing with most of the fans in my section already gone. Not a problem.

Us lot wandered round the stadium and were about to quietly make our way round the South Stand until we heard it all kicking off. We couldn’t resist having a look at what was going on.

By the way; the policing at this point is the worst I have ever witnessed. The Bolton fans all made their way over one Bridge and began hading towards a group of Latics fans who were clearly outnumbered.

I think a fer few punches where thrown and eventually the police came and split it up. The police were pushed back by Wanderers fans a bit then were allowed to freely go into the town centre after about 5 mins.

Bolton fans even went across the cannal to get to out fans.

Anyone see what happened in the town centre ?

Yeah, it was very funny to watch.

But after the giggling has died down, remember this – it’s illegal, it makes our club look stupid and probably had a contributory impact on the Y10 handbags that took place outside the ground.

So, I would ban all three of the idiots for life along with anyone else – say you, for example – who thinks there was nothing wrong with it, to boot.

Yeah but a friend of theirs passed away recently so that makes what they do/say excusable.

It certainly makes the stewards look stupid – especially the one who did the dive. There were probably more stewards than fans left by then and still they can’t stop it happening. It wasn’t exactly a mass invasion – just 3 kids, but for one to get on and off without getting caught shows how inept they are.

They’re very quick to search my bag when I go in with three young kids which always narks me as I’m not exactly hooligan material, and in the West last night (I never normally sit there) there was one woman who spent the entire game telling kids and adults not to put their feet on the seat in front. Very over zealous and unnecessary but when they’re really needed they don’t perform.

I wouldn’t ban the kids – I’d use them for training in how to prioritise duties and not try to alienate fans.

Sat in the West stand last night and seemed to have missed all the fun.

30 supporters throwing coins you say? Should have took a net, might have made a tidy profit. :animals-chickencatch:

              Scum.

now i may have miss interpreted your post, and i am not saying what they did was right.
but i am sorry but you are out of order if you are speaking about the young lad who died at the end of last week. For 1, i may be wrong but do you know for certain they were with the 100 or so who went last night to celebrate his life, who each bought a shirt this week and had the lads name printed on the back and who also had a message put on the score board at half time,my son has taken his death badley,so the choice of word SCUM and linking it to his friends who were there to celebrate his life is out of line.
apologies if i have got it wrong

From what I gather there wasn’t much chance of people collecting the money. It was more like :teasing-blah: :angry-boxing: :happy-jumpeveryone: :obscene-drinkingdrunk: :romance-grouphug: :teasing-knob: :violence-instagib:
