Lack of respect towards the club that gave him his chance in the Premier league with his comments to the media after the game.
Who the effin hell does he think he is?
Just another arrogant gobsh/te in my view who kicks his former club when they are down.
Especially as we put up with some of his awful performances whilst he was at latics.
Could come back to haunt him next year as they are a bloody awful side who will get found out next season!
From what I heard, he was pretty much spot on Vince, just being honest, I lost some respect for him when he’d made up his mind to leave, because he thought he was better than he was, and that WBA was a big step up, he most likely went because they’d pay more money, did a good job overall here though eh?

West Brom are mid table so it was a fair step up really ! Like you said he was only being frank re our shortcomings ! Up until he left he was our longest serving player since our rise to the Prem ! Cant blame him especially the money side of it !

Whether he is spot on or not out of respect he shouldnt say it.
We as supporters all know what is wrong with the team and the faults without some dorky ex player almost gloating about it on TV.
He has really p/ssed me off!
He pee’d me off more when he thought he was able to tell the likes of Hutchings, Bruce & Martinez where they should be playing him & how they should be playing full stop – his attitude at times stank whilst he was at Latics & quite clearly even pushed Bobby to breaking point hence why he was dropped & publicly told he wasn’t getting a new contract offer (even if the club knew he probably wouldn’t accept it anyway).
In the end for all his talk of moving to a big club, he wound up at West Brom coz they appeared to be the only prem club who offered him anything. It’s lucky for him they sacked Di Matteo & appointed Hodgson otherwise he’d probably be playing championship football now whilst telling anyone who’d listen that he was too good to play centre half in that division & should be playing centre mid for Liverpool alongside Gerrard
That said, what he says about Latics now doesn’t concern me one jot. I’m glad he’s gone & his opinion is irrelevant
I have to totally disagree about Scharner showing us a lack of respect. He purposely restrained himself after scoring despite the fact you could tell he was, naturally, delighted to get a goal. When asked about whether he was surprised about Wigans position in the league, he merely stated that we don’t score and we conceed too many goals. This is just pointing out the bloody obvious and is exactly what anybody with any knowledge of our club would say too. I’m inclined to agree wityh Tyldesley. It annoyed me a lot more how outspoken he was with the managers. His comments on Saturday merely made me chuckle and really shouldn’t be something worth getting annoyed about.
“It was definitely not our best game but we got a point from away. Wigan played very well and I wish them all the best for the rest of the season and hope they can stay up! I´m very happy with my comeback and the goal I´ve made.”
I didn’t know that Scharner played for us prior to being in Prem !![/quote]
Pollitt didn’t play for us prior to the Prem either. Pollitt joined in the summer before the season started and Scharner joined in the January transfer window.
