Ironic isn’t it? A player, panic signed by Bruce, allegedly earning close to £40k a week, is still on the wage bill, yet Bruce takes one of his better signings with him to Sunderland and covets another….
Just how much Roberto’s failure to offload King off the wage bill, (possibly the reason why we havn’t signed anyone proven in this window) we will only learn at the end of the season.
So I urge true fans of this club of OURS, not to point fingers at Roberto, Scotland, Gomez, Diame or whoever, but to back the boys. It’s not ideal, but we have no choice but to make the best hand out of the cards we’ve been dealt….whoever dealt them.
