Will never score, He his just not gud enough, scharner was outstanding today,
8 November 2009 at 9:40 pm #12504I wouldn’t say he was outstanding, but he was certainly the best player for us.
Personally, I think he’s our best player and should be captain.
8 November 2009 at 10:14 pm #12506Might as well have played with no one upfront today and many a time we did. Nzogbia was by far the best player on the field. To put him at left back with 20 minutes left was crazy. Bramble had a nightmare.
8 November 2009 at 10:26 pm #12507Must say N’Zogbia didn’t look pleased.
Personally would have brought Koumas on for Scotland and pushed Hugo up front.

8 November 2009 at 10:47 pm #12513for once I agree with you mr griff. bramble was good today, but he did show a couple of signs of the ‘old’ bramble. …that slice in the 2nd half was typical.
best player nzog, next best scharner.
and to be fair, scotland had a good second half.held the ball up well and brought other players in a the right time.8 November 2009 at 10:50 pm #12515for once I agree with you mr griff. bramble was good today, but he did show a couple of signs of the ‘old’ bramble. …that slice in the 2nd half was typical.

8 November 2009 at 10:54 pm #12522gosh, i am feeling bigger already.
8 November 2009 at 11:15 pm #12531Don’t want to say I told you so about Scotland, but…
Bramble was good besides the penalty I thought. Hugo is a striker, not a winger. Scotland is a sub not a starter. When is Bobby going to realise this. Imagine if Hugo gets injured now though, we’d be screwed!!!
8 November 2009 at 11:23 pm #12535Bramble was as good as ever today, N Zogbia and Rodellega are outstanding but are out on the wing.
N Zogbia was unhappy when moved to left back and Sinclair is not good enough. Scharner is ok but to say he was the best player is bizzare.
Scotland would be ok with someone up with him but agree he is not good enough.
We are desperate for a striker but Hugo wont be as effective upfront alone. Hang in there until January. Good performance overall but we need to be picking 3 points up when dominating like that.
8 November 2009 at 11:34 pm #12543Scotland will not be good enough EVER!
I’m all for giving someone a chance, but come on fella, he’s simply not a Premier League player and never will be.
Really enjoyed the game, N’Zogbia was by far the best player on the park, (apart from that tw@t in their goal!!) Scharner had a good game too. But i’m afraid it’s the same old story. . . . Can’t get the 2nd killer goal. And with chubby up front I think we’ll always struggle to do so.
I also think Bobby cocked up with the substitution. Scharner should have been moved to centre back and Boyce to left back. To put N’Zogbia left back after roasting their full back all the game was madness!!
Overall though, thoroughly enjoyed a good footballing display from the lads. We’ll be fine with a decent striker!!
9 November 2009 at 2:33 am #12575My opinion is that he did the only thing, and that was put a left footer at left back, knowing N’Zogbia’s played there before. Obviously Edman tired, after so long out of the picture.
You NEED a left-footer at Left Back. Honestly. I think it’s the hardest position on the pitch, for someone to adapt to. I found that myself when I used to play. I had to fill in there on a couple of occasions and as a right footer, it was hard. Especially if you have somone running at you constantly.
I know N’Zogbia didn’t like playing there when he was at Newcastle though. You get the feeling he is a player who likes to attack, more than defend!
9 November 2009 at 2:39 am #12580From were I was sat bramble had a mare. Remember the pass across his goal straight to one of their men who shot wide.
5/10 at best and I have to totally agree with the Charlie move. To put your best attacking option at left back with the game for the taking, was nothing short of lunacy from bobby. :xFrom Matlock to ManU
