Obviously we have a large number that are or have been in the Premiership, But watching the Footy League Show they are all knocking about down there too. What do you think it is that makes them so popular? They are well known for being angry and short fused (majority of them) and can imagine them being a handful in the dressing room, But after being so bad as players how do they manage to be so good at management. It’s a strange one because you have Moyes, Ferguson etc who were relatively poor players then you have the aggressive Duncan Fergusons, Richard Gough’s who have never made a comeback.
It’s a strange one, it seems that if you’re Scottish, your either an alcoholic , smackhead, tattooed illiterate, or a football manager, there’s just no middle ground with them.
And by deciding to become a football manager it gives them a chance to work down here where – surprisingly – it rains a bit less.
