Pretty good in many ways Mr Garswood. Just read the Email and Latics must be commended on their loyalty plus for not backing down on promises. Also great marketing, timing and prices for new tickets. Absoloute bargains for what could very well be exciting times next season against some big clubs. Not counting chickens or owt but fantastic. Brilliant Latics. Superb.
4 April 2016 at 11:39 pm #147882There are actually a couple of people complaining on Facebook because renewals are only £20 cheaper than new buys. Trying to make out they were duped into buying tickets this season.
5 April 2016 at 12:07 am #147883Duped?? So these folk do not want to see Latics sell more season tickets and improve crowds.
Look many people who didn’t take up the brilliant offer last year have maybe payed £400 or more for home games by paying on the day. This amazing deal rewards their loyalty too.
At the end of the day it is a win win for everyone and that includes newcomers and their families and I would welcome them to our great club.5 April 2016 at 12:44 am #147884Can’t believe how cheap they are, brilliant..
Let’s hope the town gets behind the club for next season and we get some bumper crowds5 April 2016 at 1:10 am #147885How many games at Old Trafford / Citeh / Chelsea / Arsenal would you get for £179, in the prime seats ?
Bloody Great Wigan :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
5 April 2016 at 1:57 am #147886Amazing prices just got even better and people are supposedly moaning about being “duped”….only in Wigan.
Not sure how with such low prices we can build a team effectively with FFP rules, but purely from what we’re paying to hopefully watch Championship football its a massive well done to the Chairman and all at Wigan Athletic. Hopefully the town will back the club in larger numbers with the prices as a real incentive.
Onwards and Upwards
5 April 2016 at 2:19 am #147887Works out at £7.78 per game.
Bloody rubbish Wigan. No justification for charging more than £5 per game
Seriously though, let’s hope this puts bums on seats for our only season in the Championship ;)
5 April 2016 at 2:33 am #147888This is the greatest club ever, always has been always will be. Well done Latics once again setting standards.
5 April 2016 at 1:06 pm #147891Was more than happy to pay the £199 which was promised last season, now find out I’ve got £20 spare (not telling the missus ;) ) All credit must go to Sharpy and Jonathon Jackson, may not have been able to run a chippy but doing a grand job of running our football club. :woohoo:
5 April 2016 at 2:29 pm #147892The money I’ve saved using my offshore tax avoidance scam will pay for mine…!
5 April 2016 at 2:46 pm #147893Not to mention the fact that as well as my extra £20 saving, my lad gets in for nowt as long as we move to the Gary Glitter stand.
Should be packed in there next season, plenty of stay awayers I know expressing a keen interest. I presume most of our savings will be financed by some 5000 away followings, should we be in the Championship.
Good times indeed.
5 April 2016 at 3:13 pm #147895Assuming we don’t do a Devon Loch and bearing in mind some of the teams we should be playing next season I would expect the match day admission prices to go up so that makes a season ticket even more of a bargain than it already appears to be.
5 April 2016 at 10:12 pm #147898This is absolutely brilliant.
6 April 2016 at 1:05 am #147902Fat lady is now reaching for the music sheets so what a grand gesture this is to reward the loyalty of the hardy souls who have watched and enjoyed this incredible season.
a bit of work to do yet so the timing is a bit of a head scratcher but what a marvellous gesture from the chairman and if we get up what a fantastic league the championship will be next year with all the big clubs in it. -
