Just got home from a trip to the shops with the wife to find it on the doormat!!
New season card issued this year. Presumably the club has a bit more cash now we’re back in the Championship and we don’t have to make do and mend as much.

Think there were loads of issues with cards not being renewed correctly and working for the first home game so they have sent out new ones.
How many have been sold this season? As there been any announcement of a huge increase etc. Should be quite easy to calculate after the first few home games when the away following is deducted. Cant imagine many paying on the day although some fans will if they cant go to all the games.
Last year looked around 7/8000 ST holders so you would think an increase on that. I think the last season in the Championship crowds never dropped below 10,000 but that was obviously including season ticket sales so there must have been 9/10,000 sold that season. Here’s hoping sales have gone well for Latics with the fantastic offer given to fans and we can push the average up to 14/15000 mark with the increased away support.
Good luck to Latics this season. Play offs would be a big ask but who knows Spring Bank Holiday weekend next year will see another trip to Wembley.Have a look on the website. Once you deduct the sections in the stands that are not available and the front 6 rows reserved for flags, then you are left with just under half the map showing “available”. Add on the unavailable and you get more than 10,000 unsold seats. Plus the 5000 for visitors.
The answer to your question depends on the word “sold”. Remember that all U16s got a free one with an adult purchase in the family area, so a good few wouldn’t have been “sold”. From the number of green dots, I would say that around 6,000 have been “sold”, and perhaps another 1000 given away as part of the BOGOF deal.
If the figure had been close to 10,000, then I would imagine the press-office would be shouting it from the rooftops. Sometimes silence says everything.
So your 6,000 figure has come from counting dots on Latics ticket office website :lol:

Just rang the ticket office and they told me not to worry as they have been sent out this week! She did say if we ain’t got them by Thursday to ring back, bit last minute if you ask me?
