In this interview Mr Sharpe was asked about the pitch and in reply he was quoted as saying it would cost up to £1,000,000 which would be a stretch on our overstretched budget. Now I agree it would be and probably if we were to be forking out this sort of money it would leave us short so we should be able to put up with a poor pitch whilst there are greater demands on finances.
Should this cost not be down to the stadium company though as we pay rent for this sort of thing. Or do we really? Oh sorry earning a nice tidy monthly interest for the whelan family i betThe pitch issue is for the Stadium Management Company. The fact that DW owns it means he’ll still have to fund it, no matter how much he whinges about how his tenants should pay towards it.
Its one of the downsides of splitting your overall company up.
It doesn’t make a lot of difference, does it? Because £1m spent by Whelan on a pitch is £1m he won’t be giving Sharpey for players.
I think the interview puts to bed the idea that Rosler will be coming back, given Sharpey’s comments about Riera and Delors being solely the manager’s signings and players who “should never have been at the club”.

Why not? Every other penny we have made has!
