How many times ffs. Beat ourselves again today. I know hindsight a wonderful thing but his subs yet again. Powell for Clarrke with Windass or Roberts to move into that position. WBA fourth in the championship sack there popular manager, meanwhile Wigans manager beats himself yet again and records another away defeat and lives to fight (I use the word loosely) another day.
10 March 2019 at 12:30 pm #177025Only a manager can change that. As proven we have the players to do the job it’s just in what order and who and when to sub players.
I honestly think that the IEC won’t get shut of the manager right because,
If Cook keeps us up it’s a job done and we’ll look at his position in the summer and more than likely get shut.
But,
If we go down?, well the IEC have the right man to get us out League One because he’s done it before and
That’s his level
To me that’s win win for IEC. If we do go down they better get use to a mass exodus and our usual 15 player turn around and if we do go down and Cooks in charge there’ll be an influx bus pass carrying players.
Fox and Pilkington been 2 excellent signings10 March 2019 at 1:05 pm #177027How does a manager stop players makkng mistakes? The only real option is to drop them. Are you suggesting we drop reece james when he makes a mistake or gives away a cheap free kick?

Are you suggesting we drop reece james when he makes a mistake or gives away a cheap free kick?Yesterday we had a line-up and formation with real quality and pace. They played their way to a pretty comfortable 1-2 lead and where pressing for a third. Cook switched it up with the negative Naismith and Clarke substitutions. Still 20 minutes to go so it was obvious we’d sit back and hope to hold on.
Individual mistakes and indiscipline crept in but it was all down to the change in approach. Rather than finishing off a ragged Reading side they got a second wind and the rest is history. This has happened time and again since the Millwall game in October.
It will continue to happen unless Cook changes or is replaced. Our best hope is Rotheram getting the worst points haul in Championship history for that last relegation spot.

sub choices yesterday changed the flow of the game. That’s what cost us.

That is why Cook should be replaced Jimmy. He is making the same mistake every game and not learning from it. It makes him incredibly arrogant and pig headed or out of his depth as many on here think. I have been behind him all the way but the last few weeks he has undoubtedly cost us games and put us in serious trouble. He appears to be petrified of the opposition instead of letting them worry about playing us. Saturday was a real kick in the teeth and to make it worse that defeat was easily avoided had he not gone into panic mode yet again.
11 March 2019 at 11:39 am #177065Cook should have been replaced in December.if we get a hiding a Blackburn the shit will hit the fan.time our ghost new owners made some noise too.

Not as such Jimmy no, just using our best player as an example. Although he did give away the cheap free kick for the equaliser on half time.

And the penalty.
If that was Naismith there would be pitchforks everywhere.
13 March 2019 at 3:09 am #177169Did Clarke reach double figures with the amount of touches he had? By that I mean 2!!
13 March 2019 at 11:41 am #177179The annoying thing is how many times we have contributed to our own downfall. The last 2 goals were shocking and the first is a penalty from nothing. We constantly put ourselves on the back foot especially away from home.
13 March 2019 at 2:19 pm #177195True.that the reason we need a new manager. The rot truly set in now and cook can’t get us out of it wish he could but sadly he can’t.
