i feel this could be the deciding factor of the future of our club and its direction it will take
a poor choice another cheap option could send us into oblivion and drive fans away for good
i feel that we need experience but without bankrupting the club ie redknapp type
what we do need is a big fat sam type experienced and used to working on low budget capable of taking us higher …but i think he will be wolves bound
but that sort of person is what we require at this point in time
robinson is being put about but not what we need sorry to say at this time
our future will depend now on who sharpry brings in to get this club back on the right track
to be honest i fear for the clubs future26 October 2016 at 4:20 pm #151825I personally think Ryan Giggs could be a good shout.
I know he hasn’t much managerial experience, but surely his time at Manchester United as a player working under arguably the best manager ever would hold him in good stead.
A risk maybe, but a risk worth taking.
26 October 2016 at 4:21 pm #151826I feared for the future with Caldwell in charge

to be honest i fear for the clubs futureLet Wolves have Allardyce, that’ll free up Pearson to come to us now that would be ideal.
Fuck the EFL
26 October 2016 at 5:04 pm #151828I personally think Ryan Giggs could be a good shout.I know he hasn’t much managerial experience, but surely his time at Manchester United as a player working under arguably the best manager ever would hold him in good stead.

By your same reckoning, Henning Berg, Paul Ince, Roy Keane and Gary Neville should also be good managers.
Less experience than Caldwell and too much of a risk for my liking.
Karl Robinson is the best option for me. Took MK Dons to the Championship, and only got relegated after his squad was depleted.

Karl Robinson is the best option for me. Took MK Dons from the bottom League 2 to Championship, and only got relegated after his squad was depleted.[/quote]
Robinson has the experience and may have done better in the Championship if his squad hadn’t been depleted but hindsight is powerful, what could Roberto have achieved at Wigan if he had had the resources of Steve Bruce?
Nigel Pearson has the experience and also built a chunk of the squad at Leicester that won the PL, so he too might be a good choice.
Robinson, Pearson & Giggs will all be in the frame, but if it boils down to finance rather than ambition, it could be Barrow, Parkinson or Atherton.
Hopefully the decision will be made soon.
26 October 2016 at 6:36 pm #151830That would be the controversial Mr Nigel Pearson?
He doesn’t seem to get along with owners of football clubs all that well, falls out with the press and has a liking for putting opposing players in headlocks!

So who do you reckon should get the job?
Fuck the EFL
26 October 2016 at 7:12 pm #151832At the moment Wolves will get first dabs at potentially the best one of the bunch being the bigger club.

And that is the million dollar question!
I doubt it will be Barrow, Parkinson or Atherton. I’m sure Sharpe isn’t so short sighted.
Really don’t like the look of Pearson though. Seems a bit unhinged.
26 October 2016 at 7:48 pm #151834Robinson is on a bad run so why would the chairman even think of him? Please David don’t go there. I think whoever it is most fans are gonna be really disappointed and downhearted. If its Jones then god help us. I would like Giggs but it wont happen as I doubt the ambition is as great as when Uncle Dave took over. C,Mon you tics

I think Giggs is probably the more inspiring of a uninspiring lot.
26 October 2016 at 8:59 pm #151838I would love a Giggs – G Neville partnership, look at the pull on players they would have. We could take our pick from that team in Salford!! :cheer:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!26 October 2016 at 9:07 pm #151839Now there’s a thought. There management duo seem to get results.

Certainley seems like strange things happen around Pearson, but he does get results.
Anyway, we will soon learn our new leader and we will all be able to either cheer or complain at the appointment.
Gary Caldwell was not a popular choice at first and if it had been up to this boards members he would have gone long before we lifted the League One Trophy.
We will have to give whoever it is our support, at least until he has been in charge for 4 or 5 games or so. -
