Personally I have seen a drop in quality after losing Wyke from the team, but we have rode it out and even with losing Keane have still been getting results.

I hope we can learn from the first half especially, that we can play with the best in this league, even without our lead players. Let’s face it, had the ref done his job it would have been a draw with Bannan being sent off.

We aren’t going to get the rub of the green sometimes, the next two game at home are massive for us and if we can get good results, I think we can kick on through the testing 3 games that come after them.

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Another hard fought but deserved win. So pleased for Humphries to get the winner and a number of good performances throughout the team.
We’re certainly not a pretty team but we are strong team.

Enjoying my wine tonight, a Fairtrade Cabinet Sauvingnionish, I’ll hit the cider later

Yes ,made up for Humphries ,never stopped running when he came on. After a very shaky first twenty minutes we grew into the game and there was only one winner second half. Ironically I thought the poor officiating helped us by getting the crowd going who up to that point were very quiet.Firstly the penalty incident .I have not seen it back yet but either inside or outside of the box it had to be a foul, the ref gave a goal kick ? What was the fourth official doing stopping Tilt from taking a throw in ? Never seen anything like . Man of the match for me Tom Naylor ,won absolutely every tackle in midfield.

Very good & vital win yesterday despite the slow start. We grew into the game after they hit the bar & we had our first penalty claim denied. Only one winner in the 2nd half & I honestly cannot recall a Charlton attack in the 2nd period.

Looked a nasty one before kick off and would have been had that ball not hit the bar 15 minutes in.
The penalty shout most certainly got the crowd going and the players after that.
The new striker is settling in I think and could have scored and he reminds me of wyke.I thought he had a very good second half to be fair and pulled their defenders about enough to get the wide play going.
Sheff Wednesday muted that the other night ,Charlton. Didn’t.
Onwards and upwards , blip over I think !

Well Phil, I celebrated that hard earned win with a bottle of Spinelli Val Di Fara Riserva, which is a nice easy drinking Montepulciano D’Abruzzo. Should have had at least three penalties ! Hope the Refs are saving them up for Friday :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I have never seen a fourth official spend so much time either on the touchline or between (and often inside) both technical areas. What on earth was the guy thinking he was? Most fourth officials spend their time in the WAFC badge or even the tunnel entrance/exit. However, that guy yesterday (who should not be let near another match for the foreseeable future) had no idea about what he was supposed to be doing!!!

Oh – and I should have said – not the greatest performance, but another 3 points towards what we want to (over)achieve this year! I was certainly one, who at the start of the season, was looking for a solid mid-table performance from the squad. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by what the club has achieved so far, and long may it continue!
