We should have got rid of Hugo whilst we could command a decent financial return. Thinking back to when we played United at home and he went up against Vidic to create his goal. He muscled him off the ball and beat one of the premierships best defenders in the air. The Hugo we signed is a long way away to the one we have now.
He more or less is has a starting place week in week out yet never ever troubles or looks like troubling the opposition defence. Other strikers weve had in past have been jeered off the pitch for much less. He doesnt want to be here so get rid of him.
he had numerous chances yesterday to put the game beyond Albion yet he managed to hit the M6 instead.
he is not a winger. so if we go with Franco up front then Hugo should be left on the bench.
it was rumoured Bruce tried to take him immediately to Sunderland for around 7million.
We missed out.
3 February 2011 at 12:37 am #58038i do agree with that, and have done for sometime now.highly over rated and the chances he gets and doesnt take just isnt good enough.what the hell happened to di santo? when he signed and made his debut, against rovers i think,i though this guy looks like has got it,technically very good, quick etc etc.think that was his last decent game.

He either “never ever troubles” the opposition OR he gets numerous chances & misses them.
he can’t do both!!I’d agree with the winger stuff though. Never in a million years is he or will he ever be a left winger. he is however (& without seeing Connor Sammon play – although there is a youtube clip of him missing a header against Aberdeen from 2 yards out & unmarked!!) the best striker we’ve got
3 February 2011 at 2:16 pm #58083he’s a lazy scrote, and it’s no surprise that most of the goals we concede come from his side of the field. He should be a substitute striker cos he isn’t prepared to put the shift in – like the greedy goalhanging kid in the playground

He has scored goals consistently in a pi$$ poor side who create very few chances so IMO thank god he stayed as without him and his goals we may as well give up now.

4 February 2011 at 12:04 pm #58159It has been mentioned that Hugo has lost interest or cant be bothered. Could this have something to do with playing up front on his own in a poor formation for an even worse manager? We have had Boselli, Di Santo, Scotland and Morano who all came having scored goals and looking good players however all had their confidence shot within 6 months of playing on their own up top

When will the Sammon be heading back up stream to his spawning ground completely bereft of any confidence he had when he arrived !!
