Whilst I know it’s all about what we do, and not anybody else, I’ve had a look at our run in and that of Shrewsbury.
I’d say ours is the harder run in, but April will either make or break Shrewsbury. They’ve 6 league games that month, plus the Checkatrade trophy final. It’s a bit annoying that they end the month with 3 home games on the trot, Sat Midweek Sat. We know we just have to win our games and hope they slip up a bit. But they’re good at grinding results out, especially at home. I still think it might be us and the Shrews who go up automatically.
I’ve also noticed they’ve had another red today, and pick up a few yellow cards…Beckles seems to pick up a few, so they may have a few players missing shortly, and hopefully they may drop some points. But we just have to keep on winning our games.

Not sure why you think they have to slip up a bit, win our games
in hand and we are 5 points clear with a better goal difference. I think it’s more like they hope we slip up a bit. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 March 2018 at 11:22 pm #167701Just to add I think it’s totally pointless looking at who plays who in the run in.Up to the first goal today I thought Bury were the better team. We have lost at home to Blackpool and away to Southend. Drawn at home to two poor teams in pompy and Charlton. Blackburn lost at home to Wimbledon and been besten by Northampton.
It’s all about form and we currently have it in abundance. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!24 March 2018 at 11:28 pm #167702Was only looking out of interest.
I think we will win the league, personally. As I said to Gary Roberts at the open day in August.
25 March 2018 at 12:07 am #167703Its great testament to Shrewsbury and their season coz any other season we would have been out of sight especially with the amount of games we have won away from home. If there is any justice and fair play in football then all 3 of us will be promoted. C,Mon you tics.

It’s all about form and we currently have it in abundance. And despite those slip ups, we still have a points average per game ratio of 2.14. I always say a 2 points per game average is promotion form.
Average of 2 points per game over a season works out at 92 points over the season. Carry on as we are, we are heading towards 99 points. Surely enough.
25 March 2018 at 12:12 am #167705They are the Burton of this campaign. We all thought they would fall away two years ago and in the end they lost the title on GD. Full credit to them. They are far from pretty but they get results and it looks like a Wembley win as well.
Between us and them for 2nd as don’t forget Rovers have won the league.

I honestly think they’re a bang average side though, and will get smashed in the Championship. They just grind results out. I wish we still had them to play at DW, it falling when it did on boxing day, a day when traditionally, bizarre results and off key performances occur.

Ha ha, like that one Egg. Could be Rovers who get a chance of a Wembley date.

13 April 2018 at 1:45 am #168199They will Nick this. Bradford are woefulBoth teams were woeful.
There’s something wrong if we don’t win this league with the quality in our squad. This league is piss poor for the mostpart. Shrewsbury are a clodhopping side, physical and workmanlike, but not a patch on us at all.
Could tell they were going to get a red tonight. Beckles will be a loss to them.
That said, if they end up in the play offs, I hope they get up, as they’ve been up near the top all season.
13 April 2018 at 1:50 am #168200It’s a shame that three teams can be head and shoulders better than all the others over 46 games yet only two are guaranteed promotion.
